  1. Every company's gonna have their good products and bad products... But man, you had to dis the squarebills haha
  2. Agreed I've used them both but I've used the shimano more and would give it a slight edge
  3. In sure all of us bass fish for the challenge, JJ's isn't a magical scent that makes you catch fish anyday of the week.
  4. Hippo Butt Explosion:
  5. Y'all should look up "hippo butt explosion" on YouTube... Warning its gross, but its hilarious! Make sure your volume is up to hear it let a rip! Hahaha
  6. For cranking you can get away with 20lb braid but it will dig in if your drag is set too tight, but for other stuff I wouldn't go lighter than 30lb braid
  7. Just because you don't see fish striking on top of the water doesn't mean top water won't work! (While it can be a hint to throw a top water ) if the weather looks right and your feeling it then go for it!
  8. I've ate bass at loads of restaurants in the south. I went to an Irish restaurant once that had the best bass I've ever ate in my life.... Another good place that has bass around here is rays mill pond cafe. And bass is a very popular eating fish? Just because you don't see it at a red lobster served on a silver platter doesn't mean it ain't good!
  9. What is dead sticking? Is that just a fancy term for throwing a bait out and letting it sit haha
  10. In muddy water? If visibility is 1 foot or below I like black
  11. Ive been flipping and pitching them lately into some decently thick stuff and its been coming out pretty good, still traps more grass than texas Rigs of course
  12. Just go ahead and buy one of each color haha!
  13. And if you want it to dive a little deeper add a split shot up the line!
  14. JJ's is some very good stuff!
  15. The top doesn't matter of course because the fish can't see it! I'd go with black.
  16. Spooks or buzzbaits probably
  17. Am I the only one that is starting to use these more than Texas rigs? Its not really a "rage rig" because it doesn't fall horizontal but it goes nose down like a Texas rig but IMO it looks more natural, I'm starting to use them with all my baits instead of just flukes!
  18. Heck you caught 5 fish, sounds successful to me. I'm starting to get skunked on a daily basis this time of year on my local lake. I flipped and pitched grass and pads for like 6 hours today and didn't get a nibble
  19. Yup, mudfish are fun to catch for sure!
  20. Drag setting has more to do with what cover your fishing than what lure your fishing IMO
  21. Somebody always has to be "that guy"
  22. Oh definitely... IMO the best top water for deep bass is spooks but I'm sure everyone has a different opinion.
  23. Some people love them but I've tried them and don't like em, I just hate picking snot grass and other junk out of it after every couple cast... I have caught fish with them though so they work but whether or not they actually help is debatable
  24. Yeah I traced my path and it was "gone like donkey kong"A really old fellow named cotton was loading his boat up as we were pulling out so he may have grabbed it if he saw it, he is at the lake everyday so if I run into I'll ask if he has it by any chance... And if it was half @ss put on I didn't know... I thought it was on there really good
