Hahaha BJJ is designed to cause enough pain to make them run away? More like break their arm at the elbow or cut off circulation to their brain. But I agree 100% that BJJ is defense and not offense in most applications.

I'm with bluebasser the places I fish aren't to clear and I'm perfectly fine fishing straight braid.... I just see a leader as another knot to fail.

I'm with the guys saying close to the limit... But when I'm fishing with my grandpa he keeps everything, doesn't matter if its 2lbs or 12lbs he is taking it home... Only time I can convince him to turn em loose is if we only catch a couple the whole day and he doesn't wanna clean em' haha

Bowfins don't have soft mouths??? Bowfins mouths are tough as mess! I need some of your luck, went bowfin fishing today and couldn't get the slightest nibble... I love fishing for em'! My guess is you never really had the hook in his mouth good because its tough.... I'll set the hook on a bowfin so solid it seems perfect and they still somehow come unbuttoned....

Haven't been fishing in a good while but probably gonna go the next couple days, what has been working for y'all lately. Are moving baits still producing well, like swim jigs?

Yeah I didn't even think about the really wide spools, they can cast far without losing a lot of diamrter allowing them to keep high IPT

I mean if there is some way line capacity effects IPT then by all means explain it too me but I don't see how it would. A shallow spool with 1 diameter when full and 50 yard capacity and a deep spool with 1 diameter when full and 200 yard capacity will have the same IPT on a reel with X gear ratio??

Line capacity itself doesn't effect IPT but the diameter of a full spool does... A full spool is gonna give you more IPT then a half full spool. A shallow spool and a deep/high capactity spool can have the same diameter when full but one contains way more line.... So no, line capacity doesn't effect IPT
