  1. I doubt I could fish this effectively where I am... to much grass, I might be able to do a cast and retrieve presentation but the second I let it sink it would probably get clogged with grass..
  2. I used Fluoroclear and it was alright... it seemed pretty stretchy though, I haven't used it since like December and I could have sworn it had a lot of memory, I might give it another try considering the price lol
  3. I don't mind fishing a line with stretch as long as its not like a rubber band...
  4. I've never even heard of them, so I Googled it and found that article and figured id post it, looks like a nice lure!
  5. I use those gulp shrimp on a jig head when were out on the flats catching trout and they hold up pretty well IMO!

  7. What are some good fluorocarbon or co-poly lines that you guys use that have low memory and preferably little stretch? I want a line that doesn't need a line conditioner to be manageable...
  8. Depends what I'm using the rod for... But for the sake of the thread if I had to pick one rod length it would be 7'
  9. Ohh, my mistake thought that looked like a sturgeon. Now that I think about it I have heard of those before... Cool fish!

  12. ^^ Nice fish! What kind of sturgeon is that?
  13. Wow that's a hawg and a half man!
  14. I don't think I'll ever react to anything the same way I did when I finally caught a 5lber... But I won't know for sure until I catch one bigger!
  15. Is that scale accurate for you? I have one but its off and I don't think there is a way to calibrate it...
  16. I just lay them flat with some kind of object so people can see how big it is, I'm sure laying them down for a few seconds to take a picture won't hurt... Mudfish are one tough fish! I wonder how well they respond to catch and release...
  17. Hey desmobob, I see in that picture of the bowfin you caught you are holding it with a fish grip vertical. I would advise you not to do this... Bowfin have some pretty crazy rolls and they will freak out even when they seem completely wore out, if they spaz out while you are holding them like that it can mess their jaws up bad. If one happens to start freaking out don't try to stop it just kinda go with it, still hold onto the fish grip but let him do what he wants if that makes sense... I used to do that to but stopped not to long ago becaue I realized it was bad for them...
  18. I agree that confidence is the biggest thing for me!
  19. Every single piece of tackle I've bought except maybe some terminal tackle and soft plastic's have been used, I'm jobless at the moment and I cant afford to buy stuff I wont use...
  20. there's always a couple days on banks lake where the only bait I can catch a bass on is a craw as a topwater...
  21. http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/12403-jig-fishing-questions/ there ya go! 21 pages of good info on jigs
  22. I catch big bowfin and pickerel all the time but don't weigh them often, I know I've caught bowfin atleast 8lbs before probably more...
