  1. Wow... now I see why my sonar sometimes has so much stuff on it I think it's just messing up but now just imagine bigger shad in a school even larger than this!
  2. I had been dealing with this for a while and thought I had tennis elbow but, now, I believe that usually hurts more on the upper forearm a couple inches from the elbow. I went to a chiropractor for something else and asked him if he had a cure for tennis elbow. He felt around and found right where it was killing me... kind of on the outside of my elbow right on/near a bone. That's when he told me it wasn't tennis elbow per se. Anyway, he jerked and twisted my arm a couple different ways and it was instant relief and kept getting better throughout the day. It still creeps back after some fishing but before I wen't I couldn't flip or pitch at all... it hurt way too bad. I was truly amazed at how fast it got better.
  3. If you want to make a special ice chest just to dip your rags, buffs, frog togs, etc... put in some ice, add water, and then add some Sea Breeze or rubbing alcohol (doesn't take much at all). This will lower the water temp tremendously and the alcohol will cause the water to evaporate/wick away while still keeping you cool. I learned this while trying to keep my daughter cool while playing softball in 100 degree weather all day. From what I've read, just dipping a rag, hat, or whatever in water and letting it soak you will actually cause your body to get hotter due to the humidity.
  4. Looks awesome... please post more pictures of it! I want to build one about this size so bad I can't stand it but I know it would cost a lot more than 5-7K to have someone build it and stock it.
  5. Crazy thing is I just searched how to remove a fish hook for some reason several days ago, I just watched a Jimmy Houston episode where his wife had a treble hook past the barb in her arm and he pulled it out with fishing line, and now this thread pops up... I sure hope it's not a sign of things to come!!!
  6. I'm still a novice but I'm surprised no one has mentioned Oklahoma as at least being a pretty decent place to fish. I guess the question was best and worst though and I'm sure we're just right there above average more than likely. There are a ton of lakes big and small with even more ponds that all hold nice bass. There is a lot of fishing pressure on most of the decent lakes though.
  7. Dang... you are so lucky to have a place like that to fish!!!
  8. A-Jay, what times do you usually go when you night fish?
  9. Tom, what do you mean by "outside" structure?
  10. Thanks Glenn! I hadn't done any research on them so I wasn't sure if they came in different configurations or not.
  11. Tom, I found the article you referenced and have a couple questions... 1) How would you break-down the almost 8 days of the full moon phase per day as far as rhythm is concerned? 2) The summer shows the location as shoreline and I thought most fish tried to find deeper water during the summer. I assumed this meant they moved out of the creeks to the main lake and found deeper water relating to certain structure and/or cover in the main open water away from the shoreline but do bass instead just find banks/shoreline in the main lake with deeper water, certain structure, and cover? I guess it's probably a combination of both but the shoreline just threw me for some reason.
  12. Great stuff in this thread... thanks guys! Tom, I'm going to try to google your article as I'm sure it's loaded with good information.
  13. I'm sure another negative to just using a trolling motor anchor could be the continual noise of the prop especially if it's a little breezy out.
  14. While I was reading this I started wondering if the new trolling motors that will anchor you in place will eliminate the need for PP's or Talon's... what's your thoughts?
  15. What's the max depth they will reach?
