No, I think you've pretty much nailed it. The main reasons for their popularity are price, appearance, and the St. Croix name...not their sensitivity, durability, or action. everything he says is 100% correct rod does not feel right in my hands ill end taking split grip off and make a different rod out of it The Triumph and Premier use the same blank, one is slightly more expensive, the other slightly less expensive, but neither sells as well as the Mojo due to the split grip and flashier color. A lot of folks saw an opportunity to own a trick-looking rod from a high-end manufacturer for less than $100 and jumped on them. By now the novelty and "wow factor" has worn off and the real reviews are coming out. They're nothing special, and definitely far from impressive, imho. If you're interested in buying a used one, keep an eye on the Flea Market. Many of those same folks will be ditching their lightly used Mojos for the next big thing...the Vendetta. :

with a zip tie they make one that on one side there is a loop for a cable wire or telephone wire or whatever just zip tie it on the rod at the nut that tightens down the reel and you got it

in my opinion the 100d is twice the reel as the e7 i can cast the same lure on a 100d 40 yards farther shimano told me to take it apart and take out some of the grease from the bushings. i soaked them and got it all out and it does cast better but still not as good as a 100d going to send it back to shimano and have them go through the reel or find someone to trade a good used 100d the e-7 is about4

if i were building a casting rod from a blank does it matter if it is a spinning blank or a casting blank is there a difference does a casting blank know it will be used for a spinnning rod?

i also just started to build from blanks your guide thread winding look great mine dont have a couple question for you to answer if you would be so kind. when every thing is ready to start thread do you start the winding from the end of guide or the center and work out how many wraps of thread do you put over the guide foot. on all the guides from factory there is a place on the end wrap with the flexcoat that is very thin or looks like a sloping ramp toward the thread how do you get this so perfect. i think ia'm putting to much yhread on rod and it makes the winding look bulkey
