What do you think about the Fury’s vs the victory’s?

Shimano SLX vs. Lews Tournament MB
Dobyns 683, I wouldn’t normally choose it but only brought the one rod and needed it to catch a bedding fish. Only brought it up to make the point that the SLX did well

Shimano SLX vs. Lews Tournament MB
My only bait caster exposure is to my Fuego CT and now most recently a newly picked up SLX. The SLX feels like a significant jump in quality and casting ability. I was surprised to be able to easily cast a 1/16 jig this past weekend. It feels like a solid reel, albeit like I said, don’t have a lot of exposure to other reels.

Dobyns Sierra vs Shimano Curado ?
Which fury and sierra models? I’ve been considering a fury for general worm and jig use and a Sierra for top water and jerkbaits , based on what I’ve read about their actions

Dobyns Sierra vs Shimano Curado ?
Curado rod that is. I haven’t seen much about it anywhere here and was hoping to see what y’all thought. Many folks on here recommend Dobyns (especially with the warranty) but I’ve heard that you sacrifice a bit on sensitivity when compared against other rods in the price point. For some backstory, I am looking for two casting rods: one that would be an all around MH rod, mostly for jigs and Texas rigs, and the second for top water/jerkbaits. The Brands I’ve narrowed it down to are the Dobyns and Shimano....any thoughts or recommendations would be awesome... thanks so much

Decision To Make
Neither, I use well nuts, available on austinkayak.com As was said before, it depends what you are using the kayak for. I see the 12 being better if you wanna stand a lot though. And I never see myself needing to have space to store rods on a kayak, but again it depends on yourself. I just use a crate with rod holders built into that. I have an Ascend d10t and the width makes it really stable I use it fishing inshore. It also has an open deck like the fs12, and I generally can keep a lot of stuff on it such as a rod, cooler, and other sorts of things, and keep the crate behind me.

I'm Stuck
Trick worms cast pretty well you don't really need the weight if you just want distance.

Rapala Jointed Minnow
I'd suggest always trying to retrieve at different speed and cadences until the fish hit. I was using one on one day specifically I remember not getting hit even though there were multiple fish where I was casting to, I could see them. I threw it once and was a little off target, burned it back, and suddenly that speed of the bait made them all want it. You never know if speed or cadence could be the reason for bites or no bites.

Weatherman Says "chance Of Thunderstorm"
If you've got it anything like here in SoFla, it'll rain every day in the summer from about 1-4, give or take an hour. Every day. Without fail. All of them. Regardless of Weather forecast.......... All the days But definitely don't want to be out if t storms are coming. I'd say just start early as you can.

Florida Guys Check In Here.
Been having the same luck. Past week or so especially, it's been so hot that most of the time I won't even go fish and if I do it's hard to get a bite unless it's early or evening. But, I will be taking the 'yak out to the 10k islands this weekend and the inshore bite should be on!!

Abu Garcia Orra S Vs Penn Fierce
I have two Penn Fierces and I love them both, but also use one of them as double duty for fresh and salt, and it works great as well. I'd get the Fierce if you planned to salt water fish as well.

Fluke Color Selection Criteria ?
I use Watermelon Red 99% of the time, unless the bass are following it but not hitting it. Then I switch the color to Pearl or Junebug depending on clarity

Whats Your Opinion On Flourocarbon ?
I've only used fluoro as leader for braided line when i'm salt water fishing. For freshwater I've never had problems with mono, never enough where it warranted me wanting to try fluoro as main line.

What Did You Catch Your Pb On?
I've caught all my biggest fish on a plain old shaky head rig with a trick worm. 6 lb 11oz was the biggest, followed by 6 lb 9 oz, and then 6 on the dot. Have hooked into bigger fish but lost them

Zoom Super Fluke & Zoom Horny Toad
4/0 EWG for Super flukes, and I have the Zoom Horny toad hooks for those, but almost never fish them anyway.
