I personally think shimano curado I's are crap and I'm really not a big fan of lews either I've owned curado I's that are junk and that are decent it's really a hit and miss game seems like you have a 50/50 chance to get junk or a decent reel I bet there lowering the price becuse someone finally realized that a curado I is not worth 180$ especially when you can get one for close to 100 on eBay. I am a shimano customer but I prefer there older E series reels and some of the more expensive stuff. Some of you probably think I am completely wrong becuse you got a good curado but me and my buddy both fish long hard days and abuse our reels somewhat and we're sticking with E series shimano becuse there bulletproof

A Phenix maxum 6'9 ml would be a perfect rod for you I've taken mine Thur h*ll and back and it just keeps going very durable and for 100$ you can't beat it

Don't get black max it will fail you if you fish it hard for a while get a shimano or Diawa or even a more expensive abu Garcia black maxes are crap for people that fish a lot

ive been looking in to getting a few more reels for my arsenal and wondered if anyone has had any experience with the shimano casitas it seems to have pretty good reviews online and is only 100$ on ebay.

So I just made a tackle warehouse order and realized I forgot to order sinker pegs... I'm going to the lake tomorrow! What kind of substitute could I get by using? I was told you can use a toothpick but not entirely sure on that one. thx

Jig is a staple for me in California. especially when the fish are not in a chasing mode.

The water is so muddy... what would you use for 2 inch visibility?

well I had a disappointing trip... fished for 8 hours with out a single bite. the water was mud 2 inch visibility and the water temp was 58. not sure what I was doing wrong but headed back next weekand to try again...
