How much is a good quality shallow spool? My reel model is a daiwa t3 1016HL tw. Also I can't seem to get great casting distance out of it is there a way to improve that??

I've been using a phenix 7'7 ml inshore rod for it. Rated 12 to 25 pound test. Works great with a older shimano Bantum and 17 pound suffix siege
