It was pretty bad for the first week or so. I kept dropping food and spilling my drinks. I looked odd trying to write in school because I can't write with my left hand. I was getting annoyed. Lol

You should've seen me when I broke my right collarbone. Lol

Lol well that's a good reason to learn how to do it the other way. I don't think I could make the switch. It feels too unnatural to reel with my left hand. Even with spinning gear.

If the left hand reeling feels more natural and you have an injury that bothers you doing it the opposite way, then why change it up?

I looked one up last night. It didn't look to difficult, but I work on guns so I don't have to deal with bearings. Lol

Lol will do. I'll have to look them up when the internet speeds up.

Gotcha. I was just curious because I'd like to start learning how to work on reels so I want to try out upgraded bearings amongst other things.

What makes the upgraded bearings better than the OEM bearings? And what all do they help with?

The only thing that has made me better is my girlfriend. I hate to hear when others go through stuff as well. I know sometimes it happens to some of the best people you'll ever meet and I just don't get it. Someone like me, yeah, I deserve it. Some people that deal with the stuff just don't seem like they deserve it. They try to help everyone else and they have their own thing going on. One thing that still gets me is one time I was walking out of Wal-Mart and this vet in a wheelchair asked, "would you mind sparing some money for and old beat up vet?" I told him I was out of money. I had about $10 and a Pepsi. I could've given him the Pepsi at the very least. I wish I could see him again so I could help him out.

I can't think of any stories really, so I'll just go off of one off the top of my head. When I was 17 or 18 I used to basically live with my friend because we worked together. We got some alcohol (no, I wasn't drinking because I'm not really an alcohol guy) and it was five of us. They were playing beer pong and I was playing Xbox. My friend got pretty lit and decided that the draw string for the window blinds tasted pretty good. He was trying to eat them for the next thirty minutes. I've witnessed funnier things, but my brain doesn't wanna function at the moment.

Hmmm, well I want to clean and lube my reel, but cant get the sideplate off. I took it apart as far as I could and the sideplate wouldn't pop off so I don't know how I'm gonna work on it. It's only a $50 reel, so I don't feel too bad about it.

How good is it for your reel? I can't get into my Pflueger to clean it and oil it so I think that may help a little with the longevity of the reel. Plus, I like that it helps with line, obviously. My Accurist is dead. Lost some of the parts when I was trying to clean it and got frustrated with the springs and ripped them out since I didn't feel like ordering the parts anyways. No biggie though, it was already starting to feel kinda gritty and odd for a $100 reel.

I'll try to give a different tip. Tie on a snap swivel for him so he can put baits on easier. I'm not sure if you've already considered it, but it seems like it could be somewhat helpful.

I'm not sure where to buy KVD besides online, and I can't order off the internet. That's why I went with Real Magic.

My appointment to get prescribed medication is going to be on Tuesday. Ready to start feeling normal. I've been like this since I was 14 and it'll be nice to finally feel halfway normal. I'm sure I won't be completely happy and not anxious all the time, but hopefully it'll be better. Maybe it'll be the boost I need to get my life started.

I know this topic has been discussed before, but I couldn't get anything when I searched it. Not sure if its the computer or search engine. Anyways, I picked up some Real Magic today because I've seen people say how line conditioner can lube the reel and make the line more manageable. I tried to find some KVD but they didn't have it at Wal-Mart. So what do you guys think about Real Magic? Is it worth it? I sprayed some on the line and done a few casts in the yard and the line didn't seem to be as coiled. As far as the increased casting distance that it promises, I didn't notice much difference, but I'm not the best at casting.
