  1. I can't fish frogs. I've been trying to learn how to walk them and they just hop instead. I trimmed the legs, I've watched videos, I've put time into it, and yet still can't get it down. I'm not much for frog fishing anyways, I like fishing trick worms.
  2. Ugly Stik for poppers, you don't need as much feel for them since you can see them. The Crucial Medium for Senkos since they're a lighter bait and the lighter rod can load up more. Then, since I love to use jigs when I have them, I would spend the extra money for another Crucial in MH for the jigs.
  3. That depends on how much you are going to be using the rod. If you won't be using it and relying on it too much, get the Veritas. If it's going to be one of your main setups that you plan to use every time you go out, get the Crucial. Just my opinion, but I have a $180 for my main setup, and I think under $100 for my backup.
  4. Don't worry about the setup to much. I started bass fishing with a Zebco 33 and a 7'3 Medium Ugly Stik. Then I moved up to a Pflueger Templar that I still have on my Ugly Stik and I still use it. My main setup is a Quantum Acccurist AC100HPT on a 7'3 Heavy Abu Garcia Vendetta.
  5. I've been around snakes a lot, never seen or heard of a brown water snake. The snake in the picture look identical to a copperhead though. It has the same colors, same pattern, it's about the average length of a copperhead, etc.
  6. My dad's been working at his company for over 20 years, the best he's gotten was some off-brand headphones. Lol
  7. It's a copperhead. I see them all the time.
  8. Never used any. I want to try some, but every time I'm looking at fishing stuff I can think of something else I'd rather get.
  9. This is basically what I'm trying to say. Some people are thinking I'm saying don't fish docks at all, which is not true because I fish docks. What I'm saying is if someone asks you to not fish their dock, don't get all be my out of shape about it. If you know you aren't the best at casting, cast at the dock itself and not the boat. It's simple as that.
  10. I just came here because I seen my name.
  11. I like Quantum, I don't know what everyone's problem is with the company. I say give it a shot.
  12. I really like the look of that Falcon. There is to many choices when trying to decide a setup. Lol
  13. Thanks for the input, and yes, I'm still searching. I have plenty of time to search and will probably change my mind about a thousand times before I figure it out. Lol after your comment, I am now leaning more heavily towards the Symetre FL and the Fenwick HMG.
  14. I use it on everything. I like my Trilene Big Game 12lb test.
  15. Ok, it's the Denali Kovert Series. It's $30 more than the Fenwick, but I'm willing to spend the extra money if it's worth it.
  16. Now onto the other rod I was thinking of. Anyone ever here any good things out of the Kovert. I believe that's the name, I'll check in a second and make sure.
  17. I've never thrown a spoon. I have no idea what they're supposed to mimic or what techniques you use
  18. Going to need one of Jeremy Wade's reels for that one.
  19. I don't like using other people's gear unless it's one of my good friends. At least they know I will replace what I ruined with something even better. I broke my friends Zebco rod not to long ago so when he gets a new car and I get the money I'm going to buy him a new one from Gander Mountain.
  20. It doesn't matter what you throw if there is no fish in the pond. Are you sure it's stocked? Spinners you need to keep higher in the water column most of the time. Keep frogs in weeds, and throw rattletraps in open water or by cover.
  21. Apparently this teen is more mature then you.
  22. Trolling is a dying fad for teens and kids. That makes me believe you're immature.
  23. Try 40+ pound braid. It sounds like your 20 is digging into itself.
  24. I used one in the pond I go to, of course it was too Mossy to do any good.
