  1. I was looking on TWH and it said 15 pound braid is equivalant to 6 pound mono. I believe I'll probably go with 10-20 and see how it goes.
  2. Why braid, what pound test, and what brand? I haven't experimented with braid so I don't know much about it.
  3. Corey Taylor, Oli Sykes, Mitch Lucker, and Eddie Hermida.
  4. I'm hoping I will, I wasn't a big fan of baitcasters until I got decent one. The Cardinal SX I want impressed with. I could easily throw any bait further with my BC over the Cardinal.
  5. Shakespeare reminds me of the old Trac-Phones. They aren't good at much, but you can't destroy them. Lol
  6. I'm thinking about buying another spinning setup and want some input. Before, I had an Abu Garcial Cardinal SX on a Zebco rod (maybe a $40-$50 setup total), and I absolutely hated it. Now I'm thinking about buying a better setup to see if I just don't like spinning gear at all or I just didn't like that setup. Anyways, I'm going with a better setup and it'll probably take a few months for me to get the money so it's no rush. I was going to buy a Shimano Symetre FL 2500 and pair it with a Fenwick HMG Medium. It's a $200 setup not including tax. Do you guys think this is a good setup or should I just stick with baitcasters?
  7. Get the heavy, use it for top water, then use the MH for everything else. That's the way I'd do it.
  8. I would post mine, but a $180 setup doesn't compare to the others.
  9. Never heard of an alcohol 2-stroke. Lol as far as the big bore ZX, I bet that thing would haul. I've always wanted a CBR929, but I never see them.
  10. I think the last race I don't was ten years ago. I'm pretty fast, just don't have the money to be able to try to go pro. Lol I may be able to race B class once or twice a month but that would be it
  11. Just wondering if I'm the only person on here who loves to ride motocross. I went riding yesterday and two of my friends wanted to race me so I accepted the friendly competition and caught one of them who had never seem me ride off guard by lapping him in about three laps and the other in five. I haven't raced in forever, but I plan to buy a 250F and get back into racing and pick up a few sponsors along the way. My friend says I need to try to go pro, but I don't have the money to even think about getting that far in the sport. Anyways, if you race, what class? If you ride for fun, what bike and tracks?
  12. People can call it what they want. Zebco is a good company, whether anyone will admit it or not. I will call it a Quantum still, but the people who try to make the brand sound worse by calling the reels Zebco's are mainly just looking foolish. Most of the people here, I'm guessing, started out on Zebco reels.
  13. Fish can sense when there's something there, just like some people can sense when something is wrong. The truth is though, it doesn't really matter what most people say. Some bass will bite a lure that is unexpected, and some bass won't bite anything if they don't want to
  14. I caught plenty today, just none worth trying to enter.
  15. Both were three and a half to four.
  16. My buddy caught two good ones with beginners luck. I caught a stick bass.
  17. First time I went fishing since we started was yesterday. Lol
  18. That is true, but I never have the chance to go fishing since I don't have my driver's license, so when I do go I want to catch at least one. Lol
  19. It's easier to grab another rod than it is retie a lure on.
  20. He doesn't use technique very often. Most baits he just reels in. Lol
  21. We're going again this week, so we'll find out if I'm just a terrible fisherman or if he just got lucky that day.
  22. Me and my friend went fishing today and he very rarely does bass fishing. We got there and weren't catching anything for a while, then he caught about a three and a half pounder. We were fishing a little while longer and he caught an ever bigger bass (maybe not four, but close to it). I didn't catch anything the whole day and I've been working on my techniques a lot lately. Was it just beginners luck or am I off my game? If it's any count he caught the first on a black lizard, and the second on a rattletrap. I didn't have another weight for myself so I didn't fish worms much and when he wanted to try a rattletrap I decided to give it a shot and turned up empty.
  23. I wasn't aware, I just always see videos of people taking forever to pull in some fish. It still seems like freshwater suits me best though.
