  1. ohhh I definitely will lol, I just caved and got the 7 mh/m and a tourney pro, which was at $140 and that's the best price ive seen them so far, I was gonna get some avid x's but the price is just too good on these
  2. I have that itch to buy more rods, but I'm just waiting for the grad money to come in I ordered last night around midnight Arizona time, and just got the shipping confirmation about a hour ago.
  3. I'm actually kinda blown away these rods are priced the way they are on the sale, I'm really contemplating getting another, it's almost too good of a deal
  4. thanks for posting this, I just picked up the 7' m/m for some cranks. Im so stoked! Been looking at these rods for a while and had to pick one up at that price.
  5. about 2 months ago, I just had to pay s&h which for me I think was about $25. Everything was fine in the end getting the rod, just took longer than I had hoped for
  6. I like the feel of the rods, but I have a 7'3 mh that snapped while casting a 1/2oz spinnerbait about 6 inches down from the tip, took duckett almost a month to get another rod too me, and took a couple of days for them to email me back. not the greatest CS ive experienced, I went with another company and haven't looked back, just my two cents
  7. both avid's are great rods, I don't have the regular avid but have 3 avid X's. I love the kigan micro guides. To me, they are the perfect micro guide. I also really like the handle design and foregrip. They are great rods and I will be getting a few more next tw sale
  8. ive got the 7'4 H/F, 7' MH/F, and the 7' M/F spinning Avid X. I absolutely love them, I personally really like the handle design, especially the foregrip and love the kigan guides, I wish I had them on all my rods. I've never fished the regular avid, but I really do like the avid x.
  9. yes, once you have a degree, a world of options open up to you. If fishing for a living doesn't work out, there are still other good options to make a good living with a degree.
  10. could be, I can't recall of the top of my head if I've entered any online contests with bass, but I probably have
  11. he really does! I've gotten so many calls from him and its getting really annoying, maybe I should've tried laughing at him, that seems to work lol
  12. I've gotten about 5 phone calls all with a 210 (coming up with San Antonio) area code today, and much more over the last month from someone claiming to be a "representative" of bassmaster.com. Each phone call I get, the person on the phone says that if I do not renew my bassmaster subscription on the spot that I would have to pay a large fee to renew my subscription in the future and that I would be charged large amounts of fines if I did not pay them for a new subscription up front on the spot. First, I have never once had a bassmaster subscription, and have no idea how they got my cell #, but secondly, this person is very persistent of trying to get people's credit card info, and social security info, all while he continues to claim he is a representative of bassmaster.com. I've asked them repeatedly to take my name off the list, and they continue to call almost every other day. Has anyone else experienced this at all? If not, this is a heads up for everyone else, if you do get a phone call from this person claiming to be a representative of the bassmasters, DO NOT give him anything. I have not and will never give a scammer anything. This is just a heads-up if anyone else gets a call from this person. It was a 210 area code, and each phone number was different.
  13. I love drop-shotting, especially on 6 or 7lb line sniper. I also really like pitching a drop shot on heavier gear with 14 or 16lb line with a creature bait. I can keep the bait in the strike zone a lot longer, and it has produced really well for me. For me drop shotting isn't just a light line finesse technique, I can also use it in a more power finesse type of way
  14. you might want to look into the Avid X too, same blank just different components, I personally really love the guides on the new rods. I love all the avid x's that I have, great rods.
  15. I've been a diehard Angels fan my whole life, I really hope we can get our stuff together once the playoffs come around lol.
  16. isn't Sutherland just a puddle now? I think in the UT San Diego newspaper it said Sutherland was at like 8% of the lake had water or something on that line. My home lake is hodges, and seems like its a few feet higher than it was over the summer, bite seems to be picking up but its still very rough if you don't know how that lake works
  17. Im not bashing, just giving my opinion. I really like the micro magic, but I won't be buying more of them. Seems like whenever something comes up about duckett that not in line with your views on the rod its always "bashing" with you. Sometimes rods just break, it happens! The guy asked for my opinion, and I gave it
  18. ive never used a quantum reel, but I love my tp, have 4 more on the way
  19. I liked mine, snapped about 4 inches down from the tip when I made my first cast of the morning last Wednesday. I was throwing a 1/2 oz spinnerbait and it just snapped while I made that first cast. Super weird, now its on its way to duckett, kinda a pain lol. I do really like the actions of the micro magic rods, but I love my St. Croix Avid X, which I will be buying more off
  20. I really love the dual braking, ill move mine up to 5 or 6 depending on what I'm throwing as well
  21. Ya its difficult bank fishing from this lake, but I'm looking at getting a boat soon, just gotta get my diploma first, 2 more months!!!! I couldn't see any beds on the bank that you could fish from but after that guy caught a 12 throwing a jerkbait I have to try it!
  22. I was so happy! Best bag I've ever caught but wanted that fifth one so bad but couldn't get another bite lol. It took 31 pounds on the last day of a local tournament to win last weekend.
  23. I run 2 on and the mag at around 3
  24. So really the best thing to do when they shut down is just to try and cover more water and find new schools of active fish?
  25. I was mixing it up between a shaky head and a jig, just trying different things to see if those would work. If I was in a boat it would be much easier to locate more schools of fish, since the shore is pretty rough at the lake I fish. I'm headin back out there tomorrow morning and see if I can locate more than one or two schools of fish. The guy fishing next to me the other day caught a 12.6 throwing a jerkbait over beds, I'm gonna give that a try!!
