They both hide in the Milfoil bed that rings Seneca lake.

The water I fish is really stained. 3" visibility on a good day. I'm confident in saying that the fish are deeper than 6". Could just be my lake.

I flat out like to fish, can't get enough. I will try any techniques. I like to fish alone.

How would one define "junk fishing" ?

Anyone rig a canoe with a portable depth finder? If so, what model do you use and would you recommend it.

4" tube baits rigged with a tube jig. Just let it fly at a low angle.

I only have one rod/reel - Diawa ($70 spinning model) and a 6' Shakespear graphite . 4" Zoom Finese Worms or 4" Zoom Lizards ( I love to split shot rig) 4" and 5" Tiki Stiks Chartruese/Watermelon swirl. I can't beleive how well this bait works fished weightless. By far the most effective bait I've used in my short but sweet bassin career. Gammy EW offset worm hooks. 8 lb. Trilene XL

I too fish a small lake from the bank. I used to try lots of different types of baits with not much luck. Then I read about the spilt shot rig. I tried it and I am cathching more fish. I use 4" soft plastics, I work them parallel to the bank really slow. Green lizards and worms seem to work best, but a green 5" Strike King Zero is slowly becoming my favorite. This is my first post and I would like to say what a great bb this is. Tons of great info.
