  1. Don't count out the TD-Fuego. I throw 1/8 oz jigs all the time. You need the proper rod though, I use a 6'6' Compre med xfast. The xfast tip is the ticket for casting light baits. Isn't it great to have multiple options on quality gear.
  2. I'll peg if I'm going to be skipping.
  3. I fish both of those reels, alot. Both are good reels. That said, I would go for the Advantage Super Tuned. 1. I like the external brake adjustment. 2. TD-A palms like a dream, the Citica 200D is kind of bulky. 3. TD-A just flat out casts better. In fact, I prefer my TD-A over my Fuego.
  4. I have an Advantage Super Tuned. It is a really nice reel.
  5. Nothing like a small tube on a good spinning rig for post cold front conditions.
  6. Most likely the new Strike King. Red Eye Shad. http://www.strikeking.com/products/2007/index.php
  7. I've got a Lowrider and a Cara. Nice rods, they fish great.
  8. Do what I did. Spool up one rig with it and give it a try. After you get it on your reel, spool out 50 to 60 yards without a lure or hook on it, just the line. Then reel it in, this will get rid of most of the line twist. I like 8# on my spinning finesse rigs. It just feels more sensitive than mono too me. Thats just my opinion.
  9. What type of plastics you tinkering with GMAN ?
  10. Great shakey head a c-rig baits. I really like the tubes, they skip real well.
  11. I fish standing up. I also paddle standing up.
  12. Hey avid, Did you get your motor bracket from Spring Creek? How is it working out?
  13. I fish from a canoe. Get stabilizers, you won't be sorry.
  14. Pline CX Premium 8# works great on spining rigs. I've got 15# Evolution on a casting rig, stuff handles like 10# and is tuff as nails.
  15. Original packages stuck in an old fabric lunch box (minus the plastic shell).
  16. I've got 2 casting models, 6-6 m xfast and 6-10 mh xfast. I have caught lots of fish with these. Glad that I bought them. I think you will enjoy your new rig.
  17. I fish a Fuego and really love it. Lite as a feather and casts like a dream. Super low profile. I also fish with a TD Advantage Super Tuned. A little heavier but a great real also.
  18. Thanks for the info Randall. I may try my hand at fabricating a couple of these.
  19. Pardon the hijack of sorts! How small is the pvc gizmo? Can you briefly describe it. I'm in the middle of a brush sinking campaign and may consider some pvc options if they aren't too complicated. Thanks for any input. P.S. - Glad to see I'm not the only lunatic willing to fish nasty weather. Great fish fellas!
  20. Reel Mech is the real deal. My reel works better now than when it came out of the box. I will be sending more work his way in the future.
  21. Don't over spool and you should be fine.
  22. Rod selection would be the key for lite lures. X-F tip.
  23. Shimano Citica 200D Shimano Compre 6'10" MH XF Triple Fish Florocarbon 12#
