  1. Sorry to hear about the back order. You are going to love the Falcons. That Weightless Worm rod makes a killer shakey head rig.
  2. Prog mainly. The Flower Kings Spock's Beard Transatlantic Frost Beardfish Pendragon Carptree
  3. I've used it and have never had any breaking problems. 15# on a baitcaster and 8# on spinning gear. I do prefer CX Premium, a little more manageable.
  4. I'm not a big braid fan, but this is a situation where it might do the trick. I would make sure to loosen the drag a bit if you do try braid. Before you change anything I would give it another try. Sometimes you just have a bad day. The important thing is that you are on the fish. Good luck.
  5. What brand of hook? What kind of line? What # test is the line? What power and action is your rod? That is a pretty big hook. The rest of your rig might not match well with the hook you are using.
  6. I'm going to Academy tomorrow for a map. Thanks Catt.
  7. AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH. Never give up. AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH.
  8. I'll second the Evo2 w/ Paca Chunk or Craw. Call Bobby @ MegaStrike and he will help you out with the color.
  9. Check this out. Those nutty mullahs are photoshopin. http://thelede.blogs.nytimes.com/2008/07/10/in-an-iranian-image-a-missile-too-many/index.html?hp
  10. What brand of line you using? 10# on a spinning rig must be pretty limp.
  11. pork loin on the grill. fries in the oven. salad. red wine. ice cream.
  12. I'd just relax and make sure I was having fun. Sometimes the fish just don't cooperate for what seems like ages.

  17. Wow, I've got visions of sausage/peppers/onions dancing in my head.
  18. Just got mine. Very nice jig. Thanks Bob. I will write a review once I fish these.
  19. Wow, that sure is some great looking water.
  20. I use the 8# and 15#. Never had a problem. I think you may have a bad spool. It happens.
  21. I admire your generosity and business savy.
  22. I grew up on the south end of Seneca. I go back every summer and bring my gear. You will find a Millfoil bed that starts about when you hit the 5' contour and extends out to about the 15+ contour. Thats where a ton of smallies and pike live. That weed bed rings the whole lake. Outside of that weed bed the lake generally drops off quick to 100'+. Deepest part of the lake is 650'. Cold water and it can and will get real choppy most days regardless of wind direction. You are dealing with big water. 1/8 and 3/16 oz jigs, finesse worms and lizards, small tubes are your best bet. Live crawdads are great. I prefer spinnerbaits over cranks unless you have a boat and can get to the outside edge of the Milfoil. Last summer the fishing was really bad, they had a fish kill the previous winter. I only fish the south end so I don't know how that effected the Geneva end. Make sure you do some winery tours. They really make some great whites on Seneca.
  23. You did good. An even playing field is all one should ask for.
  24. tackle has been covered above. so my suggestions are - tread lightly and never cast your shadow into the water. think like a thief in the night. out of site, out of mind. oh yea, learn how to fish a split shot rig.
