  1. I find it disturbing that most guys posting on here are attacking someone else because they have their own opinion and that in its self is insane, it's turning into a d swinging contest and it's stupid people have different opinions and have had different things happen to then that you haven't THAT'S HOW LIFE WORKS!
  2. thanks for the info! I was planning o using it as just a soft plastics reel once I find a rod I like and ill be sure to take apart and oil the reel, the more I look at it, its reminds me of a pinnacle design, could be wring though.
  3. I just use normal scissors just make sure they are really sharp.
  4. I myself feel much better with a left hand reel even though I am a righty as well, I can use both but feel better with left handed reels.
  5. I was wondering if anyone has any info on this reel like who made it for cabelas and so forth, I just bought a brand new one that was in the bargain cave for 23 bucks because it was missing one of the end caps on the reel handles, I know it is the older model because it has the foam handle grips any info will help, also did I make a smart purchase or did I get douped? Thanks for any help.
  6. Ive never had treble hooks go through my fingers but I have slammed a 1 oz jig into my forehead by settingbthe hook and it come flying through the water like a rocket sled on rails, hurt like a MOFO!
  7. I dont like power pro personally because I have snapped it before just practice casting in my back yard, I use grand slam braid or fireline and I know im gonna get flack for using fireline but its honestly one of the best if not the best braid out there, its insanly sensitive and extremely durable, every place I fish is rocky, rocky bottoms, rock piles, ect and it hasnt failed me once.
  8. Ive literally only been checked by a warden once in my life (both hunting and fishing) and that was earlier this year trout fishing, its rare to even see a waeden.
  9. Welcome! To answer the first question, you should be using whatever is comfortable to us whether that is spinning gear or baitcasting gear, if you want both dicks sporting goods has a great deal on abu gracia vengeance combos from what I saw in the paper, and as for baits ill have to agree with the senkos as they do catch fish anywhere, now they dont have to be the $ 7.50 senkos by gycb they can be any stick bait as they all will catch fish. Good luck in the amazing sport of bass fishing.
  10. This I understand cause im the same way, but just dont like sharing I suppose lol.
  11. Pads and grass/the thickest crap I can find, submerged timber, rocky bottoms.
  12. How do you feel when kids ask you fishing questions when you are fishing like if they are fishing as well and they ask for help or advice, its happend to me a decent amount of times and im always willing to help others out with any advice I can give or any knowledge I can share, but that isnt always the case with some people, because some people are quite rude, and dont like to share any info.
  13. Jimmy houston! Arron marten, ike, kvd, skeet reese.
  14. Nice! I love hearing from others about there favorite ways to fish because it probably isnt the same as myself, its just cool to hear from other people what they like doing or what they are confident in.
  15. When I was a teenager I used to do that all the time, asmsoon as I casted a line BOOM! My headphones instantly went in, and then when I had a fish in I would pop them out (not sure why) brin g in the fish then but them back in.
  16. Im in the northeast, monroe county.
  17. What is your favorite way to fish, topwater, dropshot, cranking, t rigging, or any other way im just curious to see what different people like to do, I myself like throwing frogs and finesse fishing.
  18. Welcome, where abouts are you?
  19. you have absolutely hit the nail right on the head, ive been fishing for a long time since I was in diapers and the people arent the same anymore, people forgot the bacis's how they got started out and it was mostly with cheap spinning reels and rods with small amounts of things little money to invest, now people look down on others if they dont have a 4 or 5 hundred dollar set up or a brand new bass boat or thing's like that and its crazy, encourage not discourage!
  20. It has happend to me once, but they didnt melt they just got softer.

I love trigging craws at night dont know why but I do and it works.
  22. I would throw frogs on the edge of the cat tail like weeds and dropshot or wackyrigs in the trees along with texas rigged craws or creatures.
  23. I agree with the last comment, try a frog if the dont hit it on top and if you have and try a zoom horny toad and swin it under the surface its worked quite well for me that way to far, also try wacky rigging a senko. Just my 2 cents.
  24. I caught a massive bullfrog on a zoom horny toad thing must have been 1 1/2 to 2 pounds.
