  1. My work schedule this year is not shaping up like I had planned and unfortunatly I will not be able to go. I have a room reserved at Fishermans Cove so if anyone wants it pm me and I will call them and give them your name. I will wait untill Monday before I cancel.
  2. I tried the 4" rigged wacky style on a dropshot rig in Lake Erie this past September. It Worked very well. Picked up a limit all 4 days we were there including a smallie that was close to 6 lb. I tried switching to the larger 5 and 6" senkos but the fish didn't seem to want them. Might have had something to do with all those 4" Gobies swimming around.
  3. I am a hardcore # 2. Catching a limit in a tourney consistently is much more difficult than most people make it out to be. Once the limit is caught I turn into a # 3 though. LOL!
  4. Oh yeah thats for sure! LOL! But if it helps me catch more fish.............
  5. Good question. I have been wondering the same thing myself when I heard of the new Hummingbird 3D model. Any one have any luck with these?
  6. Boy it sure sounds like they have issues with the web site quite a bit. I think this is the 2nd or 3rd time I have been unable to get on since I heard about it in June of this year.
  7. We did this to a buddys boat a few years ago to stop leaks. Spread it out on the inside though. It has held up ok and made the boat a little quieter.
  8. Hope you post the number soon. Its been 2 days.
  9. LOL! Muddy you crack me up!
  10. Good Job! Now if they are gonna give you a jet boat I would like to ride in that! Sure would beat my 225 Ranger 520.
  11. I agree with Avid. Many older and established companies with a good reputation get that reputation for a reason. St Croix is one that I have delt with before and yes they have gone above and beyond with me. I have also heard many good things about Kistler but have not owned one of their rods. They are a new company relatively speaking, so you may be sticking your neck out a bit.
  12. I really like the stradics, however I would probably pair it up with a st croix rod matched for your type of fishing.
  13. Not to make light of the loss of property but can you imagine all of the new bass cover in the water now? Might help the fishing in a year or so.
  14. Hey Muddy there's lots of big ones in FORK. We can share! LOL!
  15. A 10lb Lakefork HAWG is my xmas wish!
  16. Thanks KU_BASSMASTER. I will check out ebay. From reading this thread it sounds like the fish calculators are a little to far off for my comfort.
  17. Speaking of decent scales. What would be a good one to buy and how accurate would it be? Those X tools scales cost a pretty penny but I would be willing to pay for higher accuracy.
  18. Do you prefer a fiberglass rod over a graphite one? This is a pretty hot topic in my neck of the woods. Several claim fiberglass is better for cranks since it bends much easier and helps a guy from ripping the bait out of a fishes mouth. The others say you lose too much sensitivity and stick to graphite for a better feel on a bite. I can see both ways. What do you think?
  19. Awsome vid! I hope I get a video camera for Christmas so I can make the next one!
  20. That blade type is not exactly new. I have seen some home made spinnerbaits that look very similar to it. I don't know if it works real well or not but some of the people I have talked to swear by them.
  21. Thanks for filling us newbies in. Sorry to hear about that. It does sound like you and Mr White have made your peace and that is good to hear. From what I have seen in your videos you do just fine without a guide. Here's hoping for a much better trip this time around!!
  22. Hey Who is Ritchie White and what incident are you talking about Russ? Just trying to see what to look out for when we get there.
  23. Thanks for the tips guys. I will be working on my rods this winter to get em back in shape. Reelmech I just visited your site and grabbed a bottle of sealer. Thanks! I also have better than a half dozen Shimano reels that really need cleaned and refurbished. Avid says you do good work so I will probably be sending them to you in the near future.
  24. Thanks Flechero. I will do that. What type of filler would you suggest to refill the pits?
