Anyone Have Any Luck In Southern Nh Yet? (4/6/12)
Went to Dicks today. They are having a buy one, get second half off on all plastics. I got some of these Rage Claws that you guys are always talking about. So let's see what these things can do

Thanks Nev, as always you give a lot of info. I like Mill Pond, I've got my biggest of the year so far there. I drive to the Tilton ramp yesterday, I will try there next weekend. I drifted up to the Turnpike bridge yesterday, fishing here and there. It seemed like any brush pile held fish. I saw a sizable bass but he saw me too. Again, thanks for the input. I will let you know what happens

Let me ask you Nashua River anglers, do you prefer parking at Mill Pond and fish north or parking atTilton Road and fishing south?.

Fished Mill Pond this morning, a few small fish. Then paddled up to the Everett Turnlpike Bridge. Nice peaceful trip, fished a little but just enjoyed the ride.

Ok thanks, I thought that was how it is. I have 1/4 and 1/2 ounce Stanley jigs from the 80's that I will have to dispose. I'm not a good jig fisherman so I won't mind too much, but the old spinner baits are going to be painful to recycle

Speaking of jigs, I have a bunch that are lead,it is illegal to use them, correct? Someone at Bass Pto said they can be used until next year, but everything I read from the state says I can't. What do you guys know?

KingZ, I might have caught that same fish on Sunday. It weighed the same and caught it in the middle of the pond. I got it on a RatLTrap after a long cast and a great fight. Will try to post the picture soon, need lessons on how from the camera I used. My biggest of the year too

Got out for a few hours on Horseshoe pond in Merrimack. Just a few small bass, each on something different. I couldn't figure out any pattern but was happy to catch what I caught. Going to got to Mill Pond in the morning and part of the Nashua River. Still looking to catch something that is picture worthy on this post

Thanks Nev, I appreciate your advice. I got hits right away on a beetle spin, small fish. I finally found decent ones around brush piles with the Senko. I was marking a lot of fish on the depth finder and most were sitting deep. I like that place, definitely part of the rotation of ponds. Now that I know a little more, I can adjust the lure selection for it. Thanks again

Yes Nev, Mill Pond. I found the launch at Conway Arena. Nice gravel with no ruts. I have a small Hyundai and some launches are too beat up for anything less than a good sized truck. I plan on hitting NHTI after work next week, that has a good launch too. We're going to Silver Lake in Hollis today to use the beach but I will be scouting the fishing spots while I'm there, maybe even renting a yak to scope it out.,it's been a good vacation week for finding more lakes and ponds

Got a trolling motor this week, Minn Kota 30 lb thrust. I buzz along pretty good with it. Now know I can hit lakes Ike Newfounf. Massabesic is and Merrimack River sections, and cover a Loy of water. Made my own motor mount from 2x4s and 4 carriage .bolts. I checked the Mill River Lin Nashua, very good accommodation , I think I will hit it Saturday

Big worms, at least 8 innches and very slow. Drop it down an incline or go into some very thick lily pads. My pb of just under 10 was using a Manns Grape Jelly 10 inch worm in the thick pads. It dropped into a hole and bam! It was about noon on a day like today

Went to Newfound this morning, caught two lakers with my cousins friend. Never fished for them before. There weren't too big but fought okay. Then switched to smallmouth and also just got a couple of small ones. Hot day, they were deep. I might have used a different strategy but it wasn't my boat and only my second time there. On my way home, I passed Webster Lake in Franklin, anyone fish there?

Put A Kayak On Top Of Your Car With No Roof Rack?
There are universal roof racks that you can get for about $50, See walmart.com. You put them on by straps that you tighten with open doors and then you close the doors. they have rubber feet that are on your roof. I got this for my canoe and they work great. I have a Hyundai Accent and they work very well

Got to the lake, unloaded the canoe and then got it all ready and then I realized I forgot a paddle. Put everything back, loaded the canoe, went home, got paddle and went local Horseshoe Pond. Got a few small lmb but got to watch a school of bass chase baitfish around in the middle. I dug out a Banjo Minnow and got a couple of 2.5 lbs. then lost the minnow. Trying to figure out how to download pics

Didn't get to go out today, but I did get a trolling motor, Minn Kota 30 lb thrust. That should get the canoe flying. Haven't got the battery yet, looking for best deal. Will be heading out in the morning, not sure where yet

Fished Massabesic shores along the trail off Front Park. First time there, I got a small lmb on a spinnerbait and had a couple boils under an old Snag Proof popper. Will get the canoe in there soon. There was a bass boat just out of casting range who were onto a few fish, not sure what kind Got a Clark's Guide today, what a great book. Vacation next week, will do lots of exploring of new waters

Anyone Have Any Luck In Southern Nh Yet? (4/6/12)
Just ordered the Clark's Guide, should be in my hands in a few days Thinking of fishing the shore of Massabesic tomorrow after work. How about parking in the picnic area and then walking along the trails, will I have a good chance of catching something? Not bringing the canoe, any bank suggestions will be helpful

good idea with extra props. I don't have a trolling motor yet but I will keep that in mind. Better to have it and not need than to need it and not have it, as they say
