  1. Thanks for all the info guys, lots of great options to choose from.
  2. Like Tywithay said, the Type R can be found a little lower than $150. I think it is worth the extra money over the regular Tatula, especially if you are interested in a higher gear ratio.
  3. I have both, and like a lot of the guys, it does not matter to me. It would never be a deal breaker for me when looking at a particular rod.
  4. Maybe I will have to shoot over to Millbury! Dan:, I realized that after doing some more snooping around in the store. I'm curious as to why some rods are discounted elsewhere but not at every store, maybe only specific models have the extra markdown.
  5. Thanks! Appreciate the feedback, I will check out both of the lines.
  6. Hi Guys, I was wondering what a lot of you use/suggest for an ultralight setup. I am thinking of something in the 4-6# ballpark. I have been reading a lot about different lines here on the forum, but didn't know if a lighter line made a difference between brands. Most of the places I will be fishing with this setup are not rocky, and it will obviously be used in light/open cover. The line will go on a Lexa 2500 on a Lamiglas Excel II 712. Previously, on my regular non-braid setups, I have used a lot of P-line Floroclear 12#. I would like to venture into 100% Fluoro. Tatsu sounds fantastic, but may be a little too expensive for my taste. I am thinking Seaguar Invizx may be my best play, but was curious as to what you guys suggest.
  7. I actually didn't have them scan the Crucial. There were a few Mojo Bass with the regular $109.99 on the tag, with the same price on a red sticker next to it. I figured the red sticker was there to show a sale, but when I had the man scan it with his gun, it still came up $109.99. Also for any local guys, the 2 Crucials left were the 6'8 and 7'2 Worm and Jig casting models. Like many people have been saying, not all of the employees are aware of the sale. The Lexa 100 on display was $99.97, the employee was telling me it was that price, but after scanning it came out to $74.97. Maybe tomorrow night I will try and find a manager to see if I can buy the display model. I was happy enough walking out of there with the Lexa 2500 (which I just paired with a Lamiglas Excel II 712 from Ron at Valley Sports!).
  8. https://twitter.com/PowellRods Keith put up a few more pictures on their twitter account.
  9. That's great.. will definitely be swinging by there again soon.
  10. For the fellas on here from Mass, I just swung by the Dick's in Saugus. They had Crucials priced at $129.99 (no extra discount). Had a Mojo Bass Casting Swimbait rod that was $82. Some Bandit cranks were $2.50. Was able to scoop a Lexa 2500 for $71. On display, they had the Lexa 100 for 74$ but didn't have any in stock and wouldn't sell me the display model.... Didn't have time to get a deeper look around, may swing back later one night this week after work.
  11. Mike- thanks for setting that up!!... and dam0007- I do owe you! Will be my first order from Siebert and the package can't come fast enough.
  12. Thanks MH, maybe I will just have to buy both and find out for myself....
  13. Thanks for all the info! It is going to be a tough decision, seems hard to pass up such a good deal on the T3...
  14. Hi Guys, Just curious if anyone on here has an experience with the T3 (search didn't provide much info). I am in the market for a new reel and was pretty dead set on a Tatula type R, seeing as they can be had for under $150. Am I better off spending $200 on a T3 or $150 on a Type R? I may have missed something but does anyone know why there is such a big sale on Daiwa rod and reels on TWH? Upcoming iCast? Appreciate any responses, First time, long time
