Shaky Head Spinning Rod
Good point! The line I am looking into is their Champion rods. I will make an edit to the OP.

Shaky Head Spinning Rod
I am looking to upgrade one of my spinning rods, to be used mostly for shaky heads and senkos. I am probably going to get a Dobyn's, but am trying to narrow it down. I think I would be best off with a 3 power, so I am mostly stuck between the 683sf and 703sf. I know these decisions are usually personal preference, but I would like to hear if anybody has any experience with either, or if the 682sf or 702sf would be a better option. Thanks! Champion line of rods*

Check Ur Dicks Sporting Goods
Sunday funday, the DSG bandit strikes again. Went to the store in Nashua, NH and pillaged it. I think the two best buys were the LC 78s and 100s for $6. 5" Gary's were $2.48, was blown away at the amount of Gary's they had. All in all, $123 was spent.

Fishing Gloves
I am waiting on a pair of Simms Exstream gloves, with removable index and middle finger. Hoping they can keep me warm as they are rather pricey.

Good Crankin Stick& Reel
Especially if you can get your hands on a $50 PQ during the Classic sale.

Ah thanks, I may have to go swing by one. I am still recovering from my last DSG spurge, but it is tough to pass up some of these discounts.

Good Crankin Stick& Reel
Daiwa Tatula can be scooped for $100, so I would start there. I have 2 and 1 Type R and love them. I would suggest an Abu Garcia Veritas 2.0 Winch Crankbait rod, 7' Medium-Moderate. I do not have experience with this particular line of rods, but this is what I would do to stay within the $200 limit. Personally, I use a Carrot Stix 7' Medium-Moderate and have had zero issues in the 4ish years I have had the rod. However, due to other experiences I have read about I would not recommend an e21 Carrot Stix. Granted, there is a new manufacturer building these rods, so they may now be a great buy at $99. I am interested to see what others here will suggest, as there may be better rod (or reel) options in other's opinion.

Which DSG did you hit up? Nashua? Great find btw! Always fun scooping quality stuff for pennies on the dollar.

How Much Soft Plastic To Carry On The Banks?
I am not a huge bank fisherman anymore, but a few years ago I would usually carry around one tray of various lures, as I never had a dedicated backpack. Usually baby brush hogs, some gary's/yum dingers, and maybe a few jitterbugs. It was mostly at night after work and I always loved throwing a jitterbug. I think what you have there is a great setup.

Gopro Editing Software
Before GoPro released their own software, I used Final Cut Pro and iMovie. I am pretty good with computers, but Final Cut Pro was a little too advanced and complicated for what I was trying to do. There are plenty of good tutorials out there, but it didn't seem worth it for basic video editing. iMovie/Microsoft Movie Maker was more up my alley. Very easy to piece clips together and add goofy intros and whatnot. However, once the GoPro software came out, I only use that. There is an Australian surfer brah, who is mute, that has a great channel on Youtube. Yes, that is a true statement, check out 'MicBergsma'. He has some good videos on how to take full advantage of GoPro's software. Hope this helps.

Changes In Equipment Just For The People Who Must Have The Latest ?
Same for me. I can think of only one rod in my lineup that was purchased at MSRP, I will either wait for a big clearance or sale. The only high end reels that interest me are those strictly from Japan, but that is more for a '2nd kind of cool' factor. As for electronics, I think I would only upgrade for a larger screen or feature not found on my finders (SI/360/Structure Scan/etc.).

New To You Baits For 2015 That You Have Never Used Before?
Let's just say... the bait/setup monkey has gotten the best of me in the 6ish weeks my boat has been wrapped up. Outside of some new cranks or soft plastics that I have picked up, I am most excited to throw some of my swimbaits: Hudd 8 and 68 Spro 8 and 6 S-Waver 200 Savage Gear Line-Thru Lunker Punker

New Hudd-Gill
Haha yeah when I get up this morning I was like "ohhh wait a second".. and went to log on to post that it is at Noon, but luckily you guys beat me to it. The thought of a new Huddleston got our brains caught in a mosh.

What Fluorocarbon Do You Guys Like?
Currently use InvizX. Looking to try out something different for my jerkbait setup.. thinking either red label, AbrazX or Sunline Reaction.

Spro Bbz-1 Rat
Just an FYI from my experience, the posted dates on certain items on TW are not always accurate. They are provided by the manufacturer and will push out from time to time. My Gambler Ugly Otters in Royal Craw keep having their arrival date pushed out. I saw on Twitter that TW responded to someone complaining that the in stock dates are not always 100% accurate. That being said, judging from BS's posts it looks like we can expect the rat to be shipping sometime in February!

Spro Bbz-1 Rat
I am a complete swimbait noob, but I bought a few 8"ers and 1 6"er a few months ago. I lucked out and was able to pay $13-17 for the 8"ers on Amazon, it was some sort of hiccup as the next day they were back to being priced in the $30s. I was even able to pick up a fast sink Hot Dorado color for saltwater. Since I am new, I figured I could start with these reasonably priced swimbaits, then move up into the $50+ lures.

Spro Bbz-1 Rat
Good stuff! Bill Siementel has been hinting at information recently on Instagram. Yesterday he said "Word has it that the Best Of Show, "BBZ-1 RAT" is on its way and should be here the second week of February", with more info coming soon. He also made a very vague post today, potentially about a larger BBZ-1 Swimbait. should have some good info coming to us soon.

Spro Bbz-1 Rat
I purchased one (morning dawn) of these during TW's black friday sale, and am eagerly anticipating its arrival. I was wondering if anyone else here ordered one or plan on picking one up. How do you plan on using it? If you looked into it, but decided not to buy it, why not? Should I have ditched the rat and stuck with an MS Slammer? Any general discussion on the swimbait, or any related swimbaits, would be appreciated!

Merrimack Valley
I fished Mascuppic quite a bit this summer and fall. It is tough in the summer, the traffic is borderline out of control. Primarily, kids on jet skis riding hard too close to the shoreline. I live a few minutes away, so it was an easy spot to swing over to on Saturday afternoon's, but I would not suggest it as a great fishing spot locally. Also- my brand new bass boat trailer got backed into while I was on the water, damaging one of my fenders. I would suggest parking in the salon parking lot off the main road. I would suggest Lake Attitash, larger and not nearly as much traffic (jet skis are illegal). Lots of quality fish there, and there is a group of guys that I think meet every Thursday evening for a cheap fishing tournament.

Looking To Purchase A Round Reel. Who's Using Em? Which One?
I was in a similar boat about a month ago and went with a Cardiff 400. General consensus around here seems to say that the 300 is the way to go. However, I will be using 25# mono and also use it for some saltwater action. Although the $120 is more than I have spent on most of my reels, I can live with gamble of a potentially oversized reel. I am hoping the Calcutta Conquest 300 is available, if down the road I ever want to downsize.

Favorite Jig ?
Pretty much the same here. I have one big box of jigs and 90% are various brands, mostly SK. I purchased some Siebert jigs this summer and love them. Sometimes I will reach in and grab a color and not necessarily know if it is a Siebert until it is on the line. Now that I know of Siebert jigs, all future jig (and Spinnerbaits) purchases will be from Siebert. For the quality, it is hard to beat $4 jigs and $5 Spinnerbaits IMO.
