  1. Guys, headed up to lake tomorrow for a day trip. Going to launch out of Pirates Cove, not my normal fishing area. Anyone have suggestions for this area? Thanks, Blake
  2. Got back last night. Not a very good trip on the fishing side. Fish deep structure and grass lines where I could find then, ended up with 3 keepers for 3 days of trying. I could see the fish on electronics but couldn't get the to bite anything. Tried jigs, deep cranks, c rigs, t rigs, only got bit on T rig with pumpkin seed lizard. I did take the wife and kids perch jerking, caught bunches and the had a blast. I did play with new touch 7, amazing! Got a bunch or recordings, just need a good program to view them with, anyone have suggestions.
  3. Finally! Headed to the lake. I hope to find a group of schooling bass so the wife can have a little fun. Good luck all!
  4. Not going to make it this week. Hopefully next Wednesday evening we will head to the lake. At least I'm getting my new electronics installed Monday. Have fun everyone!
  5. Good luck Ronnie! I hope to be headed up Wednesday.
  6. Here is a tip someone may find useful. I use this to compare what was there before the lake was ever built. http://www.historicaerials.com/ You can punch in Lat/Long, or town nearby. Once you got that, go to top and select "Compare, then Dissolve" You will have a selection of Aerial maps and new and old topo's. You can look back I think to 1941 topo and compare it to today's aerial, satellite images. Hope this helps someone out.
  7. Catt, What a read, read it all this weekend. I've been in the right spots, but fishing them totally wrong. I mainly fish Negreet area. Plan on getting out to the camp next week. But anyhow thanks for all the tip and information on this thread.
  8. Hello Catt, New to this forum. I have read the post until I have overloaded my thinker. You have put out some great information. I have a camp on Toledo at Turtle Beach. Just wanted to let you know I still have around 190 pages to go. Keep up the great work.
