The last report in from ICY NH. I havent been out in 2 weeks and, we got 4-6in of snow where I live yesterday/last night. I dont know about anyone else but I think I am going to hang it up for this year and go ahead and winterize my boat. Was a good year and I cant wait to get back at them again in the spring. Are there any diehards left getting out, this DOES NOT PERTAIN TO YOU SOUTHERN BOYS? I went by my home lake the other day and there was a good solid 15-30ft of ice around the perimeter of the lake. Howd you guys do this year find a new favorite bait or technique? So the next big question is do we get out for our first day in March or April. My birthday is in late March and thats how I see if Mother Nature gives me an early birthday present or not. Good luck and tight lines to those of you still getting out...

Well I heard on the radio that the Boston Red SOx are in the lead with trade talks with Minnesota Twins to get their ACE Johan Santana. The deal as the report stated is as follows. Red Sox would get Johan Santana. Twins would get Coco Crisp, Jon Lester, and minor league prospects Jed Lowrie and Justin Masterson. Now I know that this deal still has to go through and then they have to get Santana to agree to resign a contract extension. Which again from what I hear is rumored to be as much as 6yrs $150 mil. If it does go through oh my head does that make the Red Sox starting rotation EASILY the sickest in all of MLB. Just think of this for a starting rotation; Josh Beckett, Johan Santana, Curt Schilling, Daisuke Matsuzaka, Tim Wakefield that is a solid rotation also we still have Julian Tavarez that was our number 5, we could go to a 6 man rotation or have him go into the bull pen for a solid long relief pitcher. With that deal we still keep a young stud Clay Buchholz, who pitched a No No last year in his first game up. Dont forget that you have Hideki Okajima setting up Jonathan Papelbon. Things are only looking up for the Red Sox...

If it unfolds that way and that game isnt televised to the country. That would be a huge slap in the face to the fans of the NFL. SO the NFL and Cable companies need to get something done about it. Period. Im under the impression that it will be aired locally on channel 4 or 5.

If at all possible string some fishing line back and forth over her roof and deck. They wont be able to see it and will avoid the area after hitting the line a few times. This is how some resorts keep predatory birds out of there Koi ponds they string fishing line in the trees zig zagging back and forth. Hope this helps.

I dont know alienating a large population of your fans to me isnt a good idea. I did some investigating and for me to get the NFL network. I would have to bump myself upto Digital Cable, and then purchase the sports package, as an add on. Satellite isnt an option for me because well I live in a forest on the north side of a huge hill, no southern exposure for me. I cant even pickup that channel as an option for my non-digital cable. With ESPN not covering the NHL I dont get Versus either so other than my Bruins I dont get to see many NHL games. I hope we arent heading towards NFL PPV games but I wouldnt bet against it.

Here is something to think about, for all of you who believe its a shark... Im siding that its a dolphin and I will give my opinion on why it is here. Everyone can look and see the clearly shaped dorsal fin, which makes you think "Oh Snap!, Thats a shark.". A dolphins rear tail/fin is horizontally aligned with the body. As a mammal all tails are that way whether it be a dolphin or a whale. A shark on the other hand is a fish, and like our LMB friends most fish tails are aligned vertically with the body. If you see a shark in shallow water what is following close behind its dorsal fin? Its tail, so youd see 2 fins break the water. Now I tell you that for one reason. If this was a shark and the dorsal fin is so clearly seen you would also see its tail fin maybe not as clear but allot clearer than what is depicted in the photograph. I think in my opinion that the reason the tail is hard to make out is because its horizontally aligned on the body therefore making it a dolphin and not a shark. Just my opinion...

Being a Patriots fan I really dont care who wins either way. I guess if I had to chose Id like to see the Packers win just cause I despise T.O.. I will like MATT said ***** about it cause even thought they arent my team. As an NFL fan Id love to watch that type of a matchup. We get a snoozer of a MNF with Steelers vs Dolphins 3-0 but we dont get to see the possible NFC title game? I dont have a satellite plan or NFL ticket, just regular cable. I will say the NFL better watch it making it hard for people to see the games will not sit well with most people. I mean GB isnt just GBs team its most of Wisconsin and other surrounding states. I mean if that went down with my Patriots how big of an area gets to watch them? All of New England's 6 states? Not every Football fan is able to pay for satellite or NFL ticket....

I have something from llbean I think like what LBH posted from north face its called something like a fleece head sock. Great for getting out in the cold and keeping you warm and your face protected from the wind and cold. Mine has draw strings around the face and neck area to give you a snug fit. Worth every penny....

Im glad you feel bad for me. It snowed here yesterday, didnt accumulate too much but it did snow. I think if I get out this weekend Im gonna wrap her up and call it a season soon after that. Nothing worse than sitting out in a boat with the wind howling and the air temp in the 30s as well as the water temp. While dead sticking plastics in 15-25ft of water....

well being my Nitro is on the small side, as well as the bodies of water I fish I dont come near to dropping he amount of $$$ you guys drop for fuel/oil. I have a 60hp on the back of my Nitro and it gets upto 30-35mph Im guessing a little faster if I didnt carry so much gear with me. I fished atleast on avg 2 days a week this season from ice out to ice in. and I doubt if I filled up my gas tank over 5 times, that gas tank being only 10gal at that. I mainly use my TM to get me where Im going. It is easily overrated for my boat so I move along pretty quick.

Last night was rough. Big Bills fan here. Watched the whole thing. My wife said that I must love getting kicked in the junk over and over again. Talk about a butt kicking. Trust me when I say Ive been there. This team was a disaster until the Krafts bought it and are committed to winning like they have been. Same as the Red Sox its amazing how an owner will change a teams makeup like that. Unlike the Patriots and the Red Sox where they are committed to winning the Bruins are just out to be profitable and thats it. Its just ashame...

NHL - Boston Bruins, Yea I loved this team, now I just want to see the owners sell so they could get some owners that are actually concerned about winning...
