  1. I use the owner twist lock wieghted hooks. Reel them steady and slow. Just got a 3 pounder on a black one the other day.
  2. I dont think he is reeling that fast... Maybe a slow gear ratio. I fish square bills that fast alot if thats what the fish want.
  3. This is the one I got.
  4. It looks awesome and I hear good things.
  5. Anyone tried these? I picked one up today in green pumpkin. Following it up with a keitech swing impact trailer.
  6. Craw- rage craw Creature- kvd Swim bait- keitech fat swing impact Worm- senkos Frog- rage toad or live target hollow body
  7. I also see bass around carp a lot. That makes sense.
  8. I plan to fish bigger swim baits and the s-waver more this year. I need to get a biggin.
  9. I need to broaden my tackle I guess lol. I have never used a tube either or grubs other than a split tail for jigs.
  10. Maybe try a swim bait or chatterbait
  11. I guess I should start using a spook. As embarrassed as I am I have never used one.
  12. I throw a jig almost everytime im out no matter the conditions unless the water is super murky but even then a black a blue jig with a rattle has been known to produce well.
  13. I really like that KVD crankbait.
  14. Senko seems to work when nothing else will. Although today I didnt get anything on a senko but hooked up on a mini brush hog and a 6in kietech swing impact in a small pond both small bass haha. You just never know.
  15. Ok so I know and you know that even if we know we should throw certain lures for the conditions there is those couple lures you just love that you want to ctach fish on. So what are yours? Your usual first lures to throw when you get to your favorite spot? For me I always take 3 rods with me and its almost always a squarebill (or crankbat of sorts), a Senko and a Jig.
  16. River2Sea KVD Rapala
  17. Sounds awesome. What kind of bottom did you fish it on? Rocks? Weeds? Smooth? I tired it but I kept getting hung up in the weeds. I fish mostly heavy vegiated ponds...
  18. Same lol. My gf gets irritated haha.
  19. I am curious on this also. For me its about 10 casts.
  20. in clear water use natural colors like green pumpkin, browns, greens, shad patterns, white. In dark water or dirty water use dark colors like black/blue or use very bright colors like chartruse or fire tiger. On sunny days use natural colors, cloudy days are good for top water, darker colors. Also in murky water use something that makes noise and will attract the fish via thier lateral line.
  21. I fish from a personal pontoon. Being in the water like that in ponds freaks me out so I opted to be up out of it haha.
  22. I still dont understand the search bait deal. So youre teling me if you throw a crank bait and catch two fish on it you are going to switch lures cause the fish are there? Why not keep throwing what they are biting? Also just because they dont bite a spinner bait or crank bait doesnt mean they wont bite a jig or a senko. I can understand if your throwing it to see if something follows it up just to see if there is fish there I guess.
  23. Well, Good! But.... What rod did you get?
