  1. I have been looking for some comfortable but my style glasses. The ones I have are ok but hurt my head after awhile. I have a pair of cheap Berkleys from walmart and they are ok. I bought a $60 pair of suncloud's and they are better but I feel like they don't work as well as they should. What is your guys' preference? I was looking at the strike king ones. I am not spending 150 bucks on glasses though so let me just throw that out there lol.
  2. Wow I feel a little spoiled now. I have two lakes, two rivers and dozens of ponds within 30 minutes of me.
  3. Haha. I use a gamakatsu drop shot weed less hook
  4. Both boat and from shore.
  5. Try the Keitech Fat swing impacts. They are amazing.
  6. Only ones I have used are the cylindrical ones that you don't have to tie on. Voss makes them.
  7. That blows me away. I have caught by far more fish on senkos than anything else. I have found wacky rigged works best. Throw it let it fall on a slack line, pull it up let it fall a couple times, re cast.
  8. I have a 734 and love it.
  9. Well I took it out this morning and I like it a lot! Got about 15 fish on it. One almost 3 pounds.
  10. I've done the same and in my opinion the tail slappers do not have as good of action. That being said I still use them and they catch fish. I mostly use them for trailers though.
  11. Now line choice. I bought seaguar 8lb fluorocarbon but I also have some 30lb braid. What do you guys suggest for light fishing in ponds and around structure like grass. I use 15lb fluorocarbon on my casting rods no problem so idk...
  12. Ended up getting a phenix maxium medium light 6'10" feels light to me but I'm so used to med heavy and heavy casting stuff lol. What do you guys think about them?
  13. Caught my first top water fish of the year yesterday on a R2S Rover. I had one frog blow up the other day but missed him.
  14. Congrats! Did you get a weight on her?? Braid really lets you feel the fishes strength. Id advise against it for anything with a treble hook though. I have lost fish before I learned this. Unless you are using a rod with a soft tip. Those treble hooks need stretch or give so they don't get ripped out.
  15. Thanks guys. I guess I will head to sportsmans warehouse later today and see what I can find.
  16. well I guess the reel is set in stone.
  17. Looking at this. Seems like a good deal. http://www.***.com/Okuma_Concept_C3-40X_Spinning_Rods/descpage-0CS.html
  18. Dead horse beater here, Looking for a spinning setup for stull like drop shot, senko, finesse worms, etc. I am looking at a few rods like the powell Diesel, Duckett Micro Magic, Phenix Maxim, etc. Whats your guys' advice here?
  19. Recommendations?
  20. Anyone tried these? They look pretty awesome! http://bamafrogs.com/collections/swimbaits/products/mattlures-boot-tail?variant=1102017085
  21. With the Hudd baits how do you determine what rate of fall you want?
  22. Anyone else?
  23. Ive caught these kinds of fish on small jigs with like a split tail grub trailer.
  24. I fish straight braid on one rod and straight flouro on the other two. I catch just as many on straight braid as the others and I fish in very clear water most of the time. I don't understand the need for a leader honestly unless the fish is line shy.
