  2. Cool.....downtown is a whole lot nicer than the south Bronx ;D ;D
  3. Hey all you NL guys.....if the Yanks get in I want some of the Rapala action......I want to try some of those DT's
  4. 26 and still counting..........bring em on!!!!!!!
  5. Thanks Muddy....glad to be here.....but ohhhh those twinkies are getting scarey
  6. Last I heard they were migrating south to Houston. Heard they were put in a holding pattern by the Brewers. Wish they'd quit dancin around and get er done
  7. Yankees are in
  8. Here we all are talking about the Mets, Cards, Yankees (at least I am), Twins and Tigers. No one is saying anything about the Dodgers, Padres, A's, Chisox or even the Phillies. We better be careful or the upset monkey will visit Congrats Muddy on being the first in
  9. Gee Whiz.......guess I'm gonna have to wait for the World Series to come visit.....it's tough being an AL fan round these parts.....especially when the Bosox take 3 of 4 from my Yanks (it still matters even if they are out) Maybe I could be the impartial commentator for the NL games ;D ;D ;D
  10. I'm sooooo happy for the Red Sox....they did get killed with injuries and the pitching staff went down and ran out of gas, losing Varitec really hurt along with that Yankee sweep . My Yanks are hot right now, Matsui's back, if we keep it up we could be there. Liriano is very questionable for the Twins so they may not have enough arms and the Tigers seem to be running out of gas. We better not under estimate the A's. Met's need to get Pedro to stop crying Muddy ;D ;D ;D
  11. Fellas, Those Twinkies are coming on.......and they have the pitching......could go all the way!!!! I don't like that at all
  12. Was she a Yankee fan? ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
  13. Lookin good in the Bronx......
  14. Question- And who declared Yankee Stadium as GREAT????? Answer- Babe Ruth.....he built it!!! ;D ;D
  15. Nahh....that pitch wasn't invented yet when he learned how to play baseball....he's older than Cy Young ;D ;D ;D Did you know his first post season loss was to the Mets
  16. Muddy, You'll still have the planes flying by.....do they still sell knishes there, thats where I had my first one, didn't know what it was but it sure tasted good! Who would you want to throw out the first pitch when they open it. I think Kranepool should do it! How about this pic for nostalgia!
  17. I see it this way....it would be like we were fishin together and had a bet on who was gonna catch that 10+ pounder we saw swimmin in the shallows......probably neither one of us would luck up on hookin it but we sure would be talkin about it ;D ;D ;D
  18. He is a dandy Muddy. One of the homegrown Yankees, kind of a throwback to our glory years of the 50's and early 60's. He is a class act and one of the good guys to boot. Don't be humbled by your statement, you are just recognizing a great talent even if he plays for the hated yanks. That the sign of a true fan....I hate it too when I have to admit that there are some great Red Sox. I hate to say it but I really admire Big Papi. Wonder how long it will be before he's a Yankee ; ;D ;D
  19. The Twinkies have two guys for who an argument can be made. Morneau has 33 HR 115 RBI 318 BA and Maurer has a 345 BA but only 10 HR and 75 RBI. If the Twins go deep in the playoffs they have a shot. If my Yankees show up at the end it will be tough to beat Jeter just because of the spotlight he's in.
  20. The MVP is a tough call in the AL. I would have said Big Papi until the Sox fell out with all his walk off game winners. As much as this yankee fan hates to admit it, he his awesome and one of the good guys to boot. If the Yankees hold on it will probably go to Jeter just because he's a Yankee and plays in NY Jermaine Dye of the White Sox would get my vote at this point 39 HR, 107 RBI, 326 BA, 641 Slug Avg
  21. No problem Muddy...isn't that what this thread is about? Where are the American League guys.....Tiger fan needs to show up with the year they are having....how about Twin and White Sox fan.....where are the A's? Looks like we'll need another 10 run 8th to beat the Royals ;D ;D ;D
  22. Steinbrenner pays them to do that so they don't poop on him! ;D ;D ;D Hope they don't get confused when they build the new stadium....I hate pigeon poop ;D ;D ;D
  23. Hey guys I only said "strong possibility" not a "lock" I have not forgotten the 2004 choke job yet ! I just like the way we're playing since we disposed of the Red Sox and hoping A Rod keeps it up. We are 5-2 against Detroit this year. Just think things are looking good right now. Please understand it's just hard to be humble..........
  24. Starting to look like there is a strong possibility that both of the pennants will end up in New York...............What say ye Muddy...........I think all the Card's fans will have to wait for 2007
