As usual it looks like the Red Sox have got their hands full. Varitek is probably out for the season. Talk of signing Lopez from Baltimore. d**n Yankees up a half a game in the East. They always make it such a struggle.

Lopez should make a great fit but just a little old. I think he can also play first when Varitek comes back. So he can be a backup catcher/ first baseman.

Oh wait, this is supposed to be trash talk. Javy Lopez is going to make a great fit for the Red Sox... As long as Fenway has wheelchair access.

Now, I am a diehard Cubs fan and they suck this year, but did they not just sweep the Cards this past weekend or was I watching a different game than you?

I don't get to say this very often so here goes. HOW 'BOUT THEM TIGERS!!!!

The season isn't even over and I'm ready to forget it.  I wish Tribune would sell the team since they obviously have no interest in fielding a winning team.

Baker is not your problem its all the other mooks wearing those uniforms and the front office that signed them :-/

Baker is the problem when he continues to play tired old players who are unproductive.  Yet they play pretty much every day because Baker is sweet on them.  

He refuses to play young players and has often said that he will go with an 'experienced' player over a young player.  This season has been a wash for a long time, great opportunity to get some young guys in there.  Yet he still sticks with hacks like Neifi Perez, Mabry, and Nevin.

Look at the season Corey Patterson is having in Baltimore.  Then look at the way he played under Baker.

Baker and his staff suck.  Not that the front office is any better.  Yeah, let's trade two leaders for jack squat.  No wait, let's pay the other teams to take them off our hands.

Perhaps the losing is taking it's toll, but I am fed up with the organization.  Trib doesn't care if the team wins.  They know people will pack the place no matter what.

And that is precisely why the Cubs will never make  it to the top.  The fan base is just to loyal.

I believe Bakers problem is he is not allowed to choose HES A COMPANY MAN.

I watched this happen when Cashman was GM for Mets You get forced(as manager) to play all the aged and wanning talent that the front office buys. The fact that they have such a great fan base and the front office thinks Wrigley is Legends Field thats what they keep doin brining in Legends. Other than my beloved Mets the only other NL team I always root for to get to the series just b/c of their fans and history are the Cubs

Nope...I saw the same games unfortunately. But a sore loser I am not. My hat is off to the Cubs and Dusty for pulling of an impressive four game sweep. In fact, i wil say that over the past two seasons the Cubs have had the Cards number. Good thing we won't see them in the playoffs anytime soon.

Not a Reds fan here. That is the Cards stiffest competition for the division somehow. How that freakin' happened I'll never completely understand. I will say this...I am afraid of the next series the Cards have with the Reds. Why? CUZ THE CARDS HAVE YET TO DEFEAT THE REDS IN ONE GAME THIS SEASON!!! If the Cards don't get their carp together, I think we may see a standings change after the series is said and done. I keep hoping some kinda catastrophic failure on the Reds...but it never happens.
