Muddy, Here's a present from a Yankee fan who grew up on Staten Island to a Met's Fan from Brooklyn.... Hope this works, turn up the volume and enjoy this between innings when the amazins are on TV, it'll bring tears to your eyes and make you feel like you're at Shea http://youngmanhattanite.com/music/MeetTheMets_Organ.mp3

Careful there Muddy.....this Yankee fan resembles that remark. I even very graciously invited Gman to come join the dark side. For that matter we'd love to have you join us too. It's just hard to be humble when you are perfect in every way I just hope we put enough distance past the Bosox

Small world Muddy Man I grew up on Staten Island....in a Yankee house...grandparents had a cabin on the Delaware River so I did all my fishing there for whatever we could catch....lived with them all summer as a kid.....my dad and uncle would would bring me back to the city once each summer to catch a Yankee game. You're almost making me want to move back for all that great Italian food, stickball and trips to the stadium!

Fella's you got it all wrong.......it's an American League world! Tigers, Yankees, Chisox, Bosox (hurting), Twins etc..... I feel a return of the trophy to it's rightful place in that garden spot we all know as "THE BRONX" Mr. Torre will lead us on to victory

Solid advice needed please
I, like Chug Bug, am getting ready to buy a boat. This thread has some great advice and info. VERY HELPFUL! I hope I'm not getting off subject but to expand on the information exchange I am curious to know what folks think about the following: Is it better to wait for winter for a better deal at boat shows etc... or is now at the end of the season better. How much mark up is there on new boats? I've always thought that about 10% off MSRP on cars was a fair deal (not counting rebates etc...). How far down can you reasonably expect to get off the MSRP on boats based on your experiences.

Am I a bad Angler?
Great post SFC_AL, sure makes me feel better! I just enjoy getting out and having fun hoping to learn more and get better. Wish I could get out more than I do but that work thing always gets in the way. Usually I only get to go for 2-5 hours at a local small lake once or twice a week. It's either bank fishing or rent a jon boat (paddle or trolling motor only). No electronics etc... so it makes you hunt somewhat blindly for structure, cover and fish. I usually catch 0-4 fish but always have a great time and really enjoy using different baits and techniques. The times I get to go someplace different with someone that is more expeienced and has a boat with all the bells and wistles I tend to do a little better. I'm looking forward to owning a boat with electronics in the not too distant future. Although I still will be learning I think it will be a really nice tool to help improve my skills / luck. I wouldn't say I'm a bad angler, just need more time to get better. Sounds like you and I have a ways to go before we can compete with Bill Dance but he has to do it for a living and we are doing it for fun and relaxation! By the way, a sincere thanks for your service to our country and all of us who are fortunate enough to live here.

I you could ask Bill Dance 1 question....
You got it all wrong Muddy Man......we'd kill the Tide on Saturday and the Bass on Sunday

I you could ask Bill Dance 1 question....
I'd ask him if he would take me fishing on Sunday if I took him to a Tennessee - Alabama game on Saturday. What a great weekend that would be!
