  1. The pros actually run into the timber to get rid of a lot of the spectators
  2. Looks familiar to me too ?
  3. I would definitely take him up on it. He has got the art of finding deep fish down pat.
  4. I would thing jacks 944 would be a good place for. A kayak. Protected from the wind and a lot of good fishing pretty close. Happy new year and good luck!
  5. Glad you got on a few. Looks like I am seeing a thermocline around 16-18 ft. You seeing the same?
  6. It's gonna be a great time to be in Alaska. Summer time is here!
  7. The best advice I can give is to just stick to it even if you want to go shallow. I'm still new at it but learning every trip out. Some of the things learned are good, some aren't but still learning. Good luck!
  8. All about the coin involved ?. Am I mistaken in the onix and helic being able to network?
  9. I agree that the lake master chip is a huge advantage. I have an onix on console and may be selling my 1197 to try to put a helix on the front. The helix has a Very clear screen and much faster processor than the older models. Good luck!
  10. My onix did the same thing. Put on a diff transducer and still did it. Sent it back and they fixed it.
  11. I fished same tourn as BF. Started off good with my first fish at 6.5 pounds early am on yellow magic. Thought I was on something but couldn't get but two more weigh fish for three fish at just under 13 pounds. Caught from 2 ft out to 22 ft deep. Several small fish and a lot of white bass in the mix. Congrats to BF on his win.
  12. Fished bass champs yesterday. Went north trying to find some shallow fish and warmer water. Ended up with 2 keepers only. Went past converse on Louisiana side. Oh well, saw some new water. Heard the winners was a husband wife team fishing out of a party barge. Hoping to get back Tuesday and Wednesday. The bites we had was in the buttonwoods in the back of coves.
  13. I know that all bass don't go to the bank and spawn. Some do it main lake on humps and ridges. What kind of depth would they need for this? I was thinking 3-5 ft?
  14. Let me be the first to congratulate bassfanatic and his dad on the first place finish in the bass champs tourn on Rayburn today. Took first place by 2 pounds. Great win for a great team. Awesome memories that won't so be forgotten!
  15. That's the way to end the day Kidflex!
  16. Gonna be a couple of weeks before I get back on the lake. Dropped boat off at toledo fiberglass this am for some work. Can't wait to get it back and hit the lake
  17. Thanks Catt. Good information. I have never fished the West side before.
  18. Great catch June-bug. At the rate your going you will have a DD by December. Catt, wanting to make sure I understand about your post in hurricane creek. The wind had been blowing from the north and bites were slow, but when it started blowing out of the south is when the bite picked up? Just curious because I went up hurricane Friday and didn't have any bites. Fished about the first third of it on the east bank
  19. Just back from fishing the bass cat owners tournament. Weather change definitely affected the bite. Guys that were catching a lot of fish deep Thursday and Friday struggled. Most of the fish caught was shallow. One guy said he caught his in about six inches of water, she weighed 8 pounds even. We ended up mid lake catching fish in about a foot of water.
  20. Great fish! Congrats
  21. That's a great cause but I have to work that Saturday. I hope y'all get a lot of support.
  22. Josh is good. He's almost got me learning what I'm looking at
  23. Drag it out in the lake and send me the way points so I wont hit it
  24. That's one of the best things about having a place to stay on the lake. I don't have to worry about driving home after fishing all night
  25. Went to lowes the other day. Ended up with 7. Biggest just under 5 pounds. Hope to get better though. Supposed to be buying a camper in lowes campground next week!! I never thought I would say its too hot to fish, but its getting close.
