  1. When fishing a worm (any worm 6"+), when would you use one of these rigs over the other?
  2. Welp. Ive finally found a senko that works for me. Today I used a 3inch senko T-rigged weightless to catch 7 smaller bass (12-13") The fish were small, but the catch was satisfying. I'll keep this as a finesse technique.
  3. Honestly, this thread might as well be pinned.
  4. I have a hunch that the snake wont do much good on my waters. Ive watched numerous water snakes swim past when fishing, and have to see any of them snatched by a fish.
  5. Craw was about 3.5inches. I beak hooked at first, and tried stitching it through an area that some smaller bass frequent. Then later I rigged it through the tail.
  6. This looks like a job forrrr.....The Banjo Minnow!!
  7. Sounds like that would kill whatever action the senko had left. Might it make more sense to wacky rig a smaller senko(3 in)?
  8. You need to get you some skunk repellent. Hah....that would be a good name for an attractant scent spray - skunk repellent.
  9. This here was an interesting read, about whoopin bass with a 3 inch senko. http://kachungoutdoors.blogspot.com/2011/09/in-gary-i-trust.html

I have a hunch, that a half chunk of a Zoom Magnum Finesse worm would work well. To me it seems adequately supple, buoyant, and not much salt.
  11. What is the technique that you favor the most, that catches the most fish, in general, per hour? and does so with fair consistency.
  12. I have one. Its ok, but a sub-par attempt at a glide bait. I like the standard X-rap better.

  14. Ok....what does it mean if Im fishing with a live craw, and I don't catch anything with it? If my presentation was solid, were the fish just not interested in eating craw, or were there no fish there at all? I'll admit I was over-confident thinking this would've been kind of a sure thing.....but I thought wrong.
  15. I was using an erratic retrieve. A random mix of start-stops, and short rod sweeps. Made it look like something that was struggling unsuccessfully to get down into deeper water. That seemed to entice mostly the dinks.
  16. Hah....Ive actually caught fish on the dancing eel. Nothing to write home about, but there were fish grabbing at it.
  17. Update: Welp. I didn't catch that particular fish, but I caught a different 3lber nearby. He was in about 24in of clear water, right in front of me. We were in plain view of eachother. Caught him by dragging a snagless jig/craw along the bottom.
  18. Haha....Looks like somebodys been drinking the senko kool-aid.
  19. Ah.....another wonderbait. This fish probably prefers a corn dog.
  20. Im partial to War Eagles, Stanleys and Boohyahs. But I certainly become acquainted with all of the blade configurations and the conditions which they excel in. Its good to own a small variety of different configs for different purposes.
  21. Fish behavior is a funny thing... Ive recently found a bass that has become a regular sight along my shoreline where I fish. Looks to be a decent 3-4lber, and seems to have taken up residency near a local dock. Ive seen him on 3 occassions now, and I like that I get to observe his behavior to different presentations that I put in front of him.......so far his response has been, "Yawwwnn." He did take particular interest in a Biffle Bug on one day, and a scented Power Minnow another day. But then of course, he changed his mind, and drifted off. But then, a voice whispered in the back of my mind that said, "Hey....throw a Senko." Of course! Thats a perfect idea! Nice little wiggle, nice slow fall, perfect. I tossed down the Senko, and well......at least the fish looked at it. But, but he was none too impressed at all. I used that Senko for the next half hour after that, but to no avail. The Senko had failed. I also, was none too impressed at all. To this day, Ive not caught squat with that worm. Maybe next time I'll try a drop shot. After that, might have to break out the live bait.

  23. Regarding the heat.....The temp is about 15 deg cooler today than yesterday.
  24. Whoa, I just found one of my Kalins grubs melting the paint off of a Daredevle spoon. Not happy about this. Well honestly, I don't really know whats happening to it. What found was the grub and the spoon were stuck together. The paint came off onto the grub, and the paint in the area of contact is still wet. Hmmm
  25. Why's he all wet? Did he jump in and catch it with his hands?
