Went today and didn't catch a thing. Wacky senko on drop shot Nose hooked senko on drop shot Nose hooked trick worm on drop shot Powerbait minnow on drop shot Owner minnow in drop shot Natural colored deep cranks Couple rattle traps Texas rigged rage craw Texas rigged senko Texas rigged pit chunk Various jigs and trailers Spinnerbaits Paddle tail swim bait Couple short strikes but no hook ups Maybe today was an off day, but I'm getting pretty close to giving up on it. Had to buy an out of state fishing license so I can't give up easy haha.

Yea I forgot to mention that too. If you downsize the baits, the gills bother you.

It is in this lake. Its owned by a town and they have some weird rules. No minnows No night fishing 17' maximum Electric only 55lb max ( one of the rules is no reckless driving, like you can do that in an outfitted fishing boat with 2 people and a 55lb thrust motor) Must wear life jacket at all times Some others, so they take an already difficult lake and make it harder haha

I think the only love bait you can use is worms. Definitely no minnows, and I don't know about cut bait. Worth checking into though.

Oh and we caught them on a wacky rigged stick bait fished on the drop shot in baby bass color. Any other ideas on what bait to try?

Having some difficulty (understandably so I think) catching fish at this new spot. Old quarry, extremely clear 15-20' visibility, goes from shoreline to 30'+ in about 10 yards, no cover to speak of and if there was the top of the tree is 50' under water. The only thing we have caught a couple on in 4 trips is dropshot. Maybe this place is not going to produce numbers, but I'm looking for ideas anyway haha. If you give up on fishing and just go look around you can see big (20"+) maybe bigger as they are 20' away. So it would be nice to catch some of them...

Anyone Else Neglecting Their Spinnerbaits
I haven't been fishing much so far this year, and the times I have gone were for bluegill/crappies. But when that was slow I have tossed around a spinnerbait to pass the time. Have not caught any bass on one yet this year, but I have gotten a couple nice northerns.

Your Favorite Polarized Glasses?
Oakley fast jackets for me. To me there is a very obvious difference in the lense clarity between cheap glasses and something of quality.

Fenwick Aetos Or Hmg?
I am by no means suggesting this was the norm. I apologize if it came off that way. I love all my Fenwick rods and will own more. And that very well could be, I wasn't with him when they broke.

Fenwick Aetos Or Hmg?
I own an hmg and love it. Spinning rod with a pflueger supreme reel. Smooth, light, and sensitive. I don't own an aetos, but a buddy has two, both of which broke while virtually brand new. No idea what the deal was, maybe he's just unlucky.

Got the elite tech smallmouth 7' mh mf? casting last week. The 6' ml mf hmg spinning showed up today. And just bought a pflueger supreme mgx in 30 size for the spinner, lews tournament mg for the caster. Should make for a couple nice combos.

Tackle Organization
I carry all of my hard stuff in a large tackle bag, organized by type (terminal, squarebill cranks, spinnerbaits etc) in 3701 boxes. That goes in the boat or I carry it if Im bank fishing. Soft plastics are in plastic totes I bought, they are organized by type. They stay in the boat, unless I'm bank fishing, then I take what I think I might need for the day. Works pretty decent, but the bag is starting to get pretty heavy (40lbs). So I'm going to have to think of something else for bank fishing.

Ordered a elite tech and an hmg. This one showed up right and the hmg showed up an eagle gt. One call and the vendor is making it right, oh well too cold to fish anyway haha.

Do You Root For Your Division?? Nfl Playoffs
No, football is over. Time to wait for baseball, being a brewers fan, I'm sure that will end in more disappointment.

Contests
So I'm not really sure what section to put this in but I think this is as close as it gets haha. I'm an administrator on a Facebook page that runs contests to give away fishing gear. Small things like a couple jigs, or bags of plastics. We are looking to get our 2015 contests/sponsors lined up and since I'm new to this, I'm not really sure how to go about it. Any help would be appreciated!
