  2. Good to see the pond is filling up. Hopefully it'll get back in the bushes for the fry to hide. Gotta restock every year.
  3. This weather sucks....hope y'all stay safe. It'll pass before we know it
  4. That's awesome you know where the bed's are. She moved up when it warmed up some. Good sign some are on beds already. That theory the water has to be 60 degrees is a myth. You just proved it. The last time I was there was there it was 7ft low. Learned a lot about the lake then. I'm coming up next week for a BASS tournament. Gonna be chilly. Personally I like the lake when it's low.
  5. Nice man....that sucker was shallow. Could that be a small male fat on shad or did you see some eggs dripping? ?
  6. At 52 they should still be starting to stage up. Don't know the pond very well... just a guess.
  7. Being a weatherman is the best job to have. You can be wrong and still keep your job. Great you hooked up still. What was the water temperature?
  8. It's been so dang hot you can only fish a couple hours before heat stroke sets in. Looking forward to the cool down into the 90's. Catt sucks about your boat... gotta keep your eye on everyone now a days
  9. With a Snell knot Does the lower stop interfere with the trajection of the hook on a set? Normally the hook will catapult straight up. Anything 1/2oz or less I don't peg.
  10. Hi Catt...I was up to the northern end of the lake outside of Harvey Marina Boat Ramp. Practicing offshore fishing. New to fishing the pond so trying to learn areas as I go. I'd rather fish sparse areas of grass rather than matted grass.
  11. Good idea,,,,
  12. Grass line...where were you Rayburn? ?
  13. Good stuff. Next trip will be better
  14. Awesome!!! Now that's how to quarantine
  15. Sounds like there is a good young crop. Future looks good.
  16. Once heard that top water isn't any good until the water hits 70°. Well that's been proven wrong. Nice fish man.
  17. And Less fishing pressure
  18. I'm actually liking the water the way it is. Was on the lake at the end of October and thought it fished well. BASS open series has already cancelled a tournament there which was in January. No sure why they'd do that. The lake is still safe to navigate. It'll be an interesting spawn with the lake this low.
  19. Good deal ?. I fish more structure than rely on my electronics. Even if I don't see fish I'll still fish an area if the structure looks good.
  20. I almost went to HB. I'm curious about the 360. I'm finding fish with my Gen2T, but those carbon's look sweet. Regarding the Fish reveal... looks like it make the fish pop off the screen. Easier to to find. So I thought anyway. Reading up the post some say it's easier for them to find fish without it.
  21. Big bait big Bass. Yeah that looks like some big bait to the right. Did you have any luck when you through a line there? DougW how do you like the performance of the carbon units? I'm considering upgrading my Gen2 to carbon.
  22. Nice shots...might be some bluegill or crappy in there for additional bait. With that much Shad better use something to contrast. What type of head unit are you using?
  23. Nice...I hit a big school of 3# in about 10 fow back in a cove. Ran a crankbait thru brush piles. I flipped a 5# off a dock in about 1fow. That was the biggest I caught. Seemed like they wanted reaction baits on Sunday. Not your typical bright sunny day after a cold front technic.
  24. The shad were in the back last weekend. Water temp in the upper 60's. Caught some decent fish on Sunday. It was the only decent day. Most of the day's I was there last week the weather sucked. The lake looked pretty cool so low. Saw some great things for when the water comes up. Can't wait to get back there.
  25. cool will do. I haven't been on the lake in years so it being so low is like a whole new lake and style of fishing.
