  1. I was thinking "more black" somewhere too. Oh, side step bars for sure !!! I love mine, and my truck is not even lifted. I actually use them all the time, to stand up higher than my truck and shoot (photos) over my roof.... or washing the roof, or whatever. Your truck being a lifted 4wd, needs them even more ! Just MPO. Peace, Fish
  2. You and I both bro ! Those custom F650's are the sickest thing to ever roll on the public streets ! Peace, Fish Oh hey, BTW, I was actually going to get a Tundra, as like I said, I really like them too. But the dealers around here were being "totally hard to deal with". In a nut shell, they said, "This is what we have in stock.... in these (lame) colors, in these (lame) packages, and if you want anything special ordered, or the new years model, its going to cost you a stupid amount over the top of what the cost already is. Part of all of this ^ was my own poor timing. It was near the end of clearence time, and they were trying hard to get rid of what they had left in stock. Granted, I could have waited a month or two, and got an 09 instead of an 08..... but that would have cost several thousands more $ too But anyway, I ended up getting my F150, with a window sticker price of $31K, for $23 And I love it too So I guess it all worked out.
  3. Hey Brian, on the one hand, I kind of hear what your saying, but then again, to me, the rear ends of ALL Vettes always seemed kind of chopped off / boxy anyway. IMPO from that standpoint, it really hasn't changed much. Peace, Fish
  4. JB, that's a nice looking Chevy Blacked out on red is a great look. But you said.... "That you actually drive" ? Don't we all actually drive our trucks ? Peace, Fish
  5. Hey Slonzp, I actually love Toyota Tundra's. Dodges, Chevy's and GMC's too. I always have to laugh when Chevy owners slam on Fords, or Dodge owners slam on Chevy's, etc... whatever. If somebody is handing out new trucks, "Right here ! I'll take one" ! .......then I'll ask what brand it is later Oh, but about that Tundra pulling the Shuttle...... Eh.... Did you know that most bank vault doors weigh several thousand lbs, yet can be closed with the pressure from one finger ? In totally calm, flat water, a person can walk down on a dock, and push a small ship weighing 100's of tons, away from it with one hand. Let me see that Tundra pull the shuttle up even a tiny few % grade, and I'll be impressed Peace, Fish PS, Mariusz Pudzianowski has pulled 88,000 lb planes, locomotives, busses, etc...... And he just a "little guy" LOL https://www.google.com/search?q=mariusz+pudzianowski+pulls+plane&hl=en&tbo=d&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ei=XKwVUbiCOoznigKK0oH4Dw&ved=0CAoQ_AUoAA&biw=1159&bih=633#imgrc=P1HtRWSKB3yw4M%3A%3BOmRmZw5g5Qa2ZM%3Bhttp%253A%252F%252Fcdn.bleacherreport.net%252Fimages_root%252Fslides%252Fphotos%252F000%252F149%252F917%252Fwsm_display_image.jpg%253F1265227522%3Bhttp%253A%252F%252Fbleacherreport.com%252Farticles%252F338867-top-ten-fighters-you-dont-want-to-meet-in-a-dark-alley%3B266%3B400
  6. That's funny I never cared for the rear ends on pretty much any of the older Vettes, but I love the new one The new Camaro rear ends look great too Different strokes I guess. Oh hey, I'm also surprised so many of you like that green one posted ? I've ALWAYS loved green. My life long favorite color. But up until a few years ago, most of the time when I showed somebody a bright green car, they got all freaked out like, "Oooooh ! It's different... Yuck. I want to blend in with everbody else, with a white, black, red, or blue one"....... Kind of sucks that so many people agree with me now about bright lime green. I might just have to pick a new favorite color LOL Peace, Fish
  7. Ahhh buddy ! Raptors are the SICKEST trucks you can buy, "right now" ! For a Sport truck, anyway I freaking LOVE those things ! I'd love to have one in matte olive green, with 37" tires, and a BIG lift Fish
  8. Black is okay..... but a little too common... and impossible to keep clean. If I needed more space than a Supercab, I'd just get an SUV. Then again, in the big HD trucks (Ford Superduties) Supercrews look great > with an 8ft bed Peace, Fish
  9. Alright, I don't expect this to get quite as much positive response, as the 2014 Vette.... But then, I have to admit, I LOVE my 2008 Ford F150...... So I might be a little bit partial Now, this is a "concept" truck, so it might not be exactly like this when it comes out. However, so much of the reviews on it have been positive, that Ford would be smart to keep it as close as possible.... 2015 Ford Atlas F150 Bunch more pics / info here.... https://www.google.com/search?hl=en&site=imghp&tbm=isch&source=hp&biw=1159&bih=633&q=2015+ford+atlas&oq=2015+Ford+Atlas&gs_l=img.1.0.0i24l6.1081.4682.0.6576.15.9.0.6.6.1.425.913.8j4-1.9.0...0.0...1ac.1.2.img.1qbDF-jMSkQ#imgrc=65mVv8AScunN3M%3A%3BoowGE6FRg8uHBM%3Bhttp%253A%252F%252Fwww.modernoffroader.com%252Fwp-content%252Fuploads%252F2013%252F01%252FFord-Atlas-Concept-2.jpg%3Bhttp%253A%252F%252Fwww.modernoffroader.com%252Fford-atlas-concept-in-detroit-gives-glimpse-of-2015-f-150%252F1963%252F%3B1024%3B768 Peace, Fish PS, Silver is a little boring... better than white I guess. And Supercrews have too much "cab to bed" ratio.... But it will surely be available in a "real truck" style Supercab, and you could always have it painted any fresh, exciting color you can think of
  10. I love my Ford truck..... But don't care for the looks of Mustangs, old or new. Oh hey, speaking of Ford trucks..... This needs a new post ! Fish
  11. Right on, thanks for all the replies guys I do have a couple more thoughts, first off, I love the rear end on the new C7 Corvette, and also, the rear end on the new Camaros Styled after a Ferrari ? And their is something "bad" about this ? Ferrari's are absolutely beautiful too ! Oh, but mine would have to be this color .....with black and "green" interior of course. Who ever Photochopped this, must have over looked that. Needs green brake calipers too Peace, Fish
  12. Felix, okay but, which one ? Mine or Redlines ? LOL Peace, Fish
  13. IMPO, anyway Okay, granted, it needs to be lime green. Who the heck wants to drive a "red" sports car ? Freaking normal a$$.... I'm sorry. I guess they can't help it Anyway, what an absolutely beautiful piece of artwork ! http://www.jaylenosgarage.com/cars/chevrolet/first-look-2014-corvette-stingray/index.shtml Peace, Fish
  14. Very nice Thank you Sam. BTW, I've kept so many of those fish in aquariums Fish
  15. Much thanks guys I've been meaning to do a new photography page for SOOO long. I really need to find some kind of cheap (or free and easy web builder. Endless, that first link is so old, I would hardly try to show it off ~~~~~~~~~~~~ But hey now, I do actually have this one, single page.... it's just a misc photos posting page (since I pay for web space anyway) with a TON of photos on it. Now, some are trophy fish photos, others are my regular photography, and still others I didn't even take myself (too bad on a few... I WISH I had taken photos of Zeina Heart LOL Anyway, I hope you have a fast connection, and your PC doesn't time out.... Their are probably 200+ random photos on this page... Oh, all the dinner shots, are for posting on the health and fitness forums, or wherever somebody asks about my diet nowadays Oh, make sure you view these at 100%, or less, so they will be max sharp http://www.trophybassonly.com/misc20102/ Peace, Fish
  16. from the last few days which you might enjoy... Hope you enjoy them Fish
  17. Good book. For me it was more about confirmations, as most of the things he did, I was already doing too. I think our styles were pretty similar.... sneaking around in a non-distinct little boat, not wanting to be noticed, not caring about flashy gear, or lures, having no qualms with live bait, etc. I was given his home ph# one time (by arguably, the biggest name, in big bass fishing), a few years before he passed away, and told I should call him. I remember saying, "Me ? Call big bass guru Bill Murphy ? He probably doesn't even know who I am"..... To which I was told, "Yes, he definately knows who you are, and would probably love to chat with you"...... And then I just never got around to calling him Stupid me Peace, Fish
  18. I have about 5 or 6 rods that I ever use. 2 or 3 more that I "might use" for special purposes, at some point. Wouldn't bother me to put the other 5 or 6 out for a garage sale, and I really don't need any new ones. Fish
  19. Darren > Yes, and I've heard of other professions that require their employees to get the flu shot, as well. I'll tell you what, if I were "forced" to get the shot, I'd make sure my place of employment was fully aware of my circumstances, and that they agreed "in writing" to make me filthy rich, if I ended up with any hard-core health issues because of it. I bet it would make them think twice..... Fish
  20. Ya' know Al, as I explained about myself, I believe I do have those special medical reasons for not taking it...... But even aside from my different circumstances, I really have to agree with NorCalBassn's post > On the other hand Al, if you have been taking them for 40 years without issue, your odds are probably better than most, that you could have them every year for the rest of your life, and never have any issues..... Now, whether or not they will actually prevent any hard-core flu.... Ehhh. Maybe. Peace, Fish
  21. First time out of my house in 4 days, due the flue, and I find these little guys like 15ft from m,y front door ! I ran in, grabbed the camera, tip toed back out and quickly snapped off a bunch of shots. Sun was low in the West, and pointing straight on them Peace, Fish
  22. Tom, your a braver man than I am ! Best of luck to both of us, right ? Peace, Fish
  23. I actually started, and have been involved in, two really long, and thoughtful threads having to do with whether or not "I" should get the flu shot, with my special circumstances {FibroMyalgia for 26 years}. These threads were on the Fibro forum, and the health and fitness forum which I visit regularly. In a nutshell, I've decided that for myself, no. I will continue to skip the flu shots > and this, after getting the worst Flu I have had, in at least 17 years, 5 days ago ! Broke the fever yesterday though, and thinking I might just survive Fortunately for most of you, Fibromyalgia is not something which you would have to consider, when deciding on a flu shot. But check this out ! Have you ever heard of Guilaine Barre Syndrome ??? This is a very rare condition which can happen after receiving the flu shot. It typically causes anywhere from partial, to complete body paralysis, and since it can involve the heart and lungs, is sometimes fatal. I think the odds are 1 in about 100,000. Very slim, right ? To be totally honest, more people die from complications of the flu, than from contracting GBS after a flu shot. Hence the reason I say that "for most of you" Yes ! Get the flu shot. That said, I live in a town of about 100,000, and guess what ? My next door neighbor was that lucky 1 in 100,000 !!! He got GBS after receiving the flu shot, and nearly died from it ! Was on a respirator for weeks ! Paralyzed for months ! Only good thing is, after 1 year, he had just about recovered 100%.... physically. However, he told me, being totally paralyzed, on life support machines, and having to have somebody else wipe your a$$ for you, can tend to mess you up pretty bad, psychologically speaking. I can only imagine. Anyway, when my neighbor told me about all of this a couple years ago, I went online and found several cases of the same sort of thing, but I had no idea that the CDC actually admitted that the flu shot sometimes causes Guilaine Barre Syndrome.... Then yesterday, I found this on the CDC website ! > listed under, people who should not get Flu shots: •People with a history of Guillain–Barré Syndrome (a severe paralytic illness, also called GBS) that occurred after receiving influenza vaccine and who are not at risk for severe illness from influenza should generally not receive vaccine. Excuse me, but isn't this like saying, "If you got the flu shot, then contracted GBS, became paralyzed, placed on a ventilator, and almost died, maybe you should not get the flu shot again. No ! Really ??? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Anyway, like I say, I know more people probably die from complications of the Flu, than they do from getting GBS after a flu shot. So if I were you, I'd probably still get the flu shot. Just wanted you to know about the slim possibility of GBS when deciding for yourself. Peace, Fish PS, A lady who lives straight across the street from me has also had Fibro for decades. She had been doing a little better with her symptoms through proper diet and exercise up until about 5 years ago. She then got a flu shot. With a few days she contracted Bells Palsy (causes paralysis of the face) Never fatal. Just makes it hard to talk or eat without drooling sometimes, and typically goes away completely in a several weeks, to 1 year. The really bad thing for this lady, was that her Fibro came back 10 fold, and now she is really just a crippled mess Nice lady too. This really sucks. This ^ is my biggest reason for NOT getting the flu shot. After being as blessed as I have been to knock my Fibro nearly completely out, I'm not going to do anything which I see even a remote chance of bringing my Fibro back ! Can you blame me ?
  24. I bet I didn't spend $100 last year on actual fishing tackle. Of course GAS, launch fees, license, etc. are expensive as $%$% ! The bait monkey would starve to death if he depended on me. Fish
