  1. They actually see white and gold
  2. the blank is rated even lower, talked to a representative from dobyns.
  3. I just ordered a savvy, hope I'm not disappointed, I think itll be fine.
  4. My dad gets all upset at me when I bring up breaking rods. He got hungup with his new st Croix and started high sticking and I just cringed. I'm always afraid my rods. are gonna break.
  5. Dropshots, and flick shake are my two favorite!
  6. my favorite lake gets pounded with Spinnerbaits, so I decided to change it up with a swimjig last year and ive been killing fish on them ever since!
  7. Powell rods are great! Got to use mine only a bit, but so far I love them, I own A max 3d, inferno, and diesel, as earlier stated, they are super balanced, pretty light, and extremely sensitive. Only think I'm not a fan of is that the rod doesnt have a full flex coat. Which lightens the rod up but jepordizes durability.
  8. runt? I wouldn't be complaining about that one.
  9. gotta use 3 or 4 pound, so it's fun.
  10. I didn't say that fluoro was the superior line and the only line to use, every type of line has its use and benefits.
  11. for open water I prefer a Mod Fast taper, it really helps you get more distance, for close quarters the heavier rod is a big advantage, preferably with a fast it extra fast taper. This video goes into more detail about equipment for chatterbaits:
  12. it's the people who don't do the little things like finding abrasions, not wetting knots, and not carefully picking out birdsnests.
  13. I'd use the BB1 with frogs because of the longer handle.
  14. Switch the Spinnerbait out to a swimjig.
  15. I just use a round, ball head jig, walleye like them too.
  16. I'd say that's gotta be close to 12
  17. I'd rather be skunked, nothing worse than seeing your float shoot down then seeing a ugly sucker behind it.
  18. Sorry man, the black max is no where near even a $100 reel. I've got one, it's fine.
  19. that's why I like beads when they start running. They also seem to be more effective later on too because most guys arent using beads.
  20. anywhere from 12 to 22 inches I'd say, they fight decent but they're gross. Like a carp.
  21. I'm still gonna fish till may, then bass opens up.
  22. the suckers are annoying, and by me at least, a majority of the fish spawned last week and are headed back to the lake. I missed peak run because I was walleye fishing.
  23. the fish I got today was actually pretty full of spawn, she shot some eggs while I was handling her, I'd post a picture but it's too big and I have no clue how to fix that.
