  1. Water temperature will have dropped a lot! Thats a huge change! just slow Down, and fish deeper water.
  2. I play basketball, go do stuff with friends and of course go ice fishing, a lot of guys enjoy snowmobiling, sadly there hasnt been enough snow this year so now snowmobiles on the trails.
  3. these are also a decent rod! Only complaint is the guides
  4. I picked up a Trion last night and like it so far, I'll have to see how it actually does on the water though.
  5. Powell Diesel all the way! Good cork, good guides and quality build for $80! Better than those cheap Abu rods that fall apart in a season.
  6. I have a Max 3D and a Inferno, i like the reel seat on the inferno a lot, i can get three fingers on the blank, hopefully the guides hold up, they seem pretty tough, pretty sure they're similar guides to a duckett ghost if not the same guides, but don't quote me on that. I would spend the extra money on a Max 3D but if you can't the inferno is a good choice.
  7. They arent bad, my buddy has one and my dad has two. For $50 I'd pick a few up.
  8. Is dig going to be an issue though? Only had one problem with 30 pound digging.
  9. no one really dissed the Micro magic, just thought the Endurance was better, that being said I have a Powell Max 3D, haven't caught a fish on it yet but it's very sensitive, got to take it out a yesterday when it finally hit 30 degrees in a harbor.
  10. Becuase you have the low stretch of fluoro but the handling of a mono line. I love fluoro coated and hybrid lines. My favorite is PLine CX but I have some YZ Hybrid for spring.
  11. you can actually cook hot dogs on then too. Might be worth the money after all.
  12. As much as I've been enjoying ice fishing I've got three new powells at home waiting patiently for the ice to go away.
  13. Spinnerbait when it's warm and a tube if it's cold or they're not chasing

I ordered some Eco pro flick shake jigs last night along with a few packs of worms. I was wondering how/where to fish these. what are some popular baits for this techinique?
  15. I can cast an 1/8 pretty good on My Lfs.
  16. all good and fine until the line gets caught or hits a knot and you're dragging your setup around on the road.
  17. I wouldn't get a Denali. Handled one in a shop one time and it was like holding a slab of granite. very heavy and didnt balance well
  18. It's a northland reed runner with a extra trailor style hook.
  19. Seaguar, If you're looking cheap. I know some guys on here like Sunline Super.
  20. I wouldn't want to drop $160 on a rod known for breaking. give it a try if you're willing. I was Intrested in them too at first. Until I saw that.
  21. Look up "Halo Rod breaks in 4" and tell me if you're still intrested.
  22. the scum frogs are great. Ill probably give the pad crasher another try.
