I like the one I have but, they don't have a green bottomed frog which helps. Got a lot less blow ups on the white belly no matter the conditions.

I've used my steelhead float rod for dragging tubes. 8' 6" ML. I'd like to say I missed a few fish because of how spongy the rod is, but using braid would probably eliminate this. I could bomb a tube with a 3/16 head pretty far with that rod.

What Inexpensive frogs will walk in open water but still sit on a mat or Lilly pads good? I like Scum frogs but I'm looking to try something new!

If you have gander by you I'd look, they usually have a bunch in a clearance bin.

there's a lot of discussion between Super and Red Label. Gonna try super this year and see for myself.

there casting reels are okay, but I think they make one of the Best spinning reels around.

I like mine, but they're lots of reviews on duds. I'd try getting one out of the box and in your hands and Make sure it's all right.

It's decent line, a lot of stretch.

Id go with the heavy. Especially around cover.

not to be off topic but how do you like the Super? The reviews are iffy.

Doesnt look like there's a flex coat on it (I believe thats what it's called, I'm thinking of the stuff that protects the blank and makes it shiny) so thats a big scary. Be cool to see an ACS reel seat on the casting rods and a not so stock reel seat on the spinning rods. Especially for $200, still a investment for most of us on here.

I use a Abu garcia Cardinal with a St Croix Legend Silver for panfish. Caught a bass on it today with 2 pound test. Very fun.

I'll probably go with the owner hook, just because they're so dang sharp.

owner makes one heck of a hook, I just don't want a real heavy wire hook because when Im casting a jig I usually bomb it and dont use a heavy action rod. I'll give it a try. And thanks for a actual reply instead of harrasing me.
