  1. Well maybe you'll believe me when I say it was only 3/4 lb. fish
  2. That's not a legit pic, right?
  3. Yeah I think the Sabine hurt almost everybody! I changed up and went with Skeet Reese in Bucket D for Guntersville. Sort of a spur-of-the-moment thing and he may be gone tomorrow.
  4. Those look very sexy! I really like the top right one.
  5. Dang. I would fish that all day! Any remarks on my manhood would disappear after it doubled up on a bass...............
  6. Didn't get a pic, but I caught my first jerkbait bass today! It wasn't a Megabass Vision, but it's a start. Ironically, it was a value series Rebel Minnow I picked up for 1.50. Caught the bass sight fishing. He grabbed at it like 4 times before he got hooked.
  7. I like that organization. Dig the Cut'R worm trailers too!
  8. I have a bunch of their jig trailers and really like them. Their entire lineup is affordable and just plain out seems to work.
  9. I threw full-size spooks (3/4 oz.!) on a medium spinning rod for several months. A bit heavy but you get used to it. It was all I had. Haven't gained any confidence in the Spook but any setup should work.
  10. I went with Lews for my first reel and have been let down yet.
  11. Congrats! I love fishing with my little sister. She has an attention span of about two minutes, but when I can get her throwing nightcrawlers on bluegill beds, she'll empty a box of nightcrawlers on them (and an occasional bass) in about 45 minutes. Fun times are ahead!
  12. Walmart carries plenty of good products. Zoom, Berkley, Luckestrike, Hart, Yum, just to name a few. Don't let the store's bad rap for service and overall quality scare you away from the fishing department, those never-friendly Walmart employees often discount a lot!
  13. Well done! nothing like seeing someone break your pb 2-3 times in one outing
  14. Spread out the loose pieces on a white towel or stick them in an egg carton. Losing them would be a bummer.
  15. Simple. Tell her Babe, I'll stop spending money on fishing stuff when you stop buying shoes/dresses/jewelry. And then if she really does stop, find something else that she's buying. Not that there's really any chance of a girl stopping buying jewelry.
  16. Love fishing with my brother. Keep it up!
  17. My family laughed at me the other day when I mentioned that "our" forums had gotten sponsored by Ford. I did mean Glenn's forums, but I really love the community here and feel like it's a online bass club. I have been sent over 100 dollars worth of tackle from a guy on here. Very generous. I've been able to help other people as well.
  18. Crouch down and present a bait quietly. Biggest thing I've learned over the last year. Fish that hold close to the bank are spooked very easily.
  19. Yup! That's free shipping right there!
  20. Here's what I learned on. I used a spinning rod. 4-inch finesse worm, weightless with a 2/0 EWG. Hula Popper Lipless Crankbait 1/8 oz. spinnerbait. Those'll cover the basics. Senkos are good as well.
  21. Looks like you enjoyed yourself and had a good time! Keep it up!
  22. Now that is a fat sow! Well done!
