  3. im leening twards the summit for these reasons. 1. it's a 150$ reel for 90$ 2. it's discontinued so not many others will have it. 3. i have many other pfluger reels and trust their products. 4. 10 BB's
  4. do you think you could share the link to those sites?
  5. after christmas I'm going to invest in a higher end set up than the ones I have. I'm thinking of getting a duckett ghost and one of these two reels. what baitcaster do you reccomend and why? http://www.ebay.com/itm/131292781788#ht_1775wt_907 http://www.ebay.com/itm/PFLUEGER-SUMMIT-BAITCASTER-RIGHT-HANDED-FISHING-REEL-6-4-1-BRAND-NEW-/251624093543?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3a95f6f767#ht_243wt_907
  6. i fish river smallmouth more than anything else and you can bet that a crankbait (lipless or lipped) will produce. Spinnerbaits, jigs, and drop-shotting works well too. Or you can work a topwater/jerkbait in the shallows with a little chop and a cloudy sky, you'll be suprized.
  7. glad I got the higher quality ones haha and thanks that's good to know.
  8. yea man I noticed that, the stock hooks are sticky sharp. feel & look strong too.
  9. nice! haha and for 3 bones. cant beat that.

I got two Xcalibur square billed craw crankbaits at dick's yesterday, 3$ each. I got the XCS100 in a firetigerish pattern and an XCS200 in a moss black craw pattern. my question on another note is does anyone have these or any other Xcalibur brand baits and do you know if it's a good company? from the looks of these lures and the original price i'd say they seem promising.
  11. what should I get? these are the two reels I've got my eye on. REVO S & the PFLUGER SUPREME.
  12. this is great info guys lol i love this site, find out anything you need to.
  13. lets not forget that largemouth are generally larger than smallmouth, though smallmouth are known to fight harder.
  14. great info as always man, cant wait to hear from others too.
  15. knowing that fishing for smallmouth and fishing for largemoth are not exactly the same I thought it'd be cool if we could work togeather to hash out the diffrences and things to keep in mind when fishing for either of the two species.
  16. lol well in that case I'll use what applies to both species and tweak things that dont.
  17. word, pool thermometer it is. lol it'd also be good to know the water temp for my fishing log.
  18. yea man thats exactly what i use the map for and thats true, crankbaits are good search baits.
