Fishing Blind
knowing the water temp of the ponds and rivers i fish would help a lot. got any clue where i can get a thermometer for on the water use thats accurate? also the water i fish is really clear, and only dirty after heavy rain. there aren't any largemouths, only smallies. i can honestly say that most of the smallmouth i've caught have been in 10 feet of water or deeper. do largemouth like shallow water more than smallmouths?

i do have a map of the water I'm fishing so i at least know the shape and can locate points and pockets. i also have an idea of where the deepest and shallowest water is from dropping ankor in various spots. I've located and marked where drop off's are on my map (the ones I know of at least), as well as things like rock piles, dams, ect. but yes a cheap depthfinder would help. lol

I have no depthfinder or "electronic eyes". I have no high/good quality bass boat. just a john boat, no motor at the moment...so i paddle. Every time i go fishing I have to fish based off of what has worked in the past (or patterns) and what looks promising. What would your advice be as to finding and catching more fish in this situation? (other than invest in a boat and depthfinder...im working on it).

Does The Trailer Have To Match The Jig?
nope. what does matter though is the SMELL, SIZE, LOOK, and how it's worked in each situation.

Why We Use Rh Baitcasters

Braid Vs Fluorocarbon Casting
honestly i got the chart here. lol but reguordless of ratings that very well could be rigged, you want to use the right line for the right situation. and yes, braid wins when it comes to castability.

Braid Vs Fluorocarbon Casting
This will answer all of your questions. Are you using the right line??? 4 = being best; 1 = being worst

well said. because some products from the same brand are better than others. thats probably why i like my shakespere agility spinning set up so much. it's just a good product.

wow this link has changed my life. so if pure fishing owns all of these brands is it safe to say these brands are good? i like abu, berkley, pfluger and many of the other brands listed here. and the fact that they own abu and pfluger totally explains why the black, silver, and pro max from abu and other pfluger reels of that price range feel so identical in quality.

and i heard that shakespere owns pfluger, and pfluger's best reel is the patriarch. i hear its a great reel, not sure how it stacks up to the revo though...

these both make sence haha and you're right J, they dont have any baitcasters that can go toe to toe with those but they do have good spin reels In my opinion. as far as rods go they are inexpensive, and probably not the best but I wouldn't say they're the worst either.
