  4. i go for either glass or composite for cranking rods. and i'll have to check those out. thanks man.
  5. nice haha because I'm better at the palomar and improved clinch than anything else. I'll learn some more anyway though.
  6. the palomar and inprooved clinch are the knots i use most and they work well for me on braid and mono. but im looking into fluro and want to use the right knot to prevent break-offs. i just looked at the san diego jam, it's like a reverse clinch kinda lol i should be able to do it with no problem with a little practice.
  7. I'll have to learn that one haha.
  8. I heard that if you tie a knot incorrectly or sloppily with fluro it can result in break-offs. why is this? and what knots work well with fluro? oh and one last thing, why doesn't this happen with mono?

I'm just curious, after you purchase a year, 5 year, or lifetime membership to B.A.S.S how do you go about entering the big turnamemts they have?
  10. Im looking for a medium powered cranking casting rod, preferibly between 6-7 feet with a moderate/fast action. I like rods with reel seats that have the through blank, and split grip. what are some good cranking rods like this in the 80-100$ price range?
  11. great info man, those are some good reasons to go with another reel. how was the supreme?
