  1. Probably not a good idea.
  2. I seen a post where Mike from DVT said that the PQ was made in the same factory as the revo sx. What other companies do this? I figure Shimano and Daiwa make there own, but do they make anyone else's reels? I wouldn't mind knowing exactly who makes each reel company's reels.
  3. That's a solid rig A-Jay. If you don't mind me asking, do you use a punch hub for the skirt? And what trailer is that?
  4. Curado I on eBay or anywhere else you can find it new for cheap. It bombs lures and is super reliable. I love it.
  5. Believe it or not, my PB smallie (little over four on a hanging scale) came on a frog. I watched her come out of some shade and just suck it down. Didn't even make a splash.
  6. 7'HF Jig/t rig 7'MHMF Moving baits like spinnerbaits, chatterbaits, etc. 7'MHM treble hook baits 7'MLF spinning rod 7'HF frog rod
  7. Arky jig with a twin tail trailer
  8. Which rod is it? MH isn't the same for all companies.
  9. Just because they weren't violent strikes, doesn't mean they weren't big fish. In my expereience, 2-3 lbers tend to be the most violent strikers. The real big ones tend to just come up and grab it, sounding like a smaller fish.
  10. You can fish them like a jig if you want. Just make sure that the bottom isn't real snaggy.
  11. I've been fishing them lately with an 8:1. You can cover lots of water, and you can still fish them pretty slow if you want.
  12. I've always had the most luck with spros. I just picked up the honker and whacker frog from teckel USA though to try something new.
  13. I like a foregrip on spinning rods as well. Especially the ones that fit those vss reel seats.
  14. Everything said above is true, but they will miss your frog more at night it seems. I've also had the same thing happen with spooks.
  15. Wakebaits, jigs, pretty much anything you would use during the day, but those two seem to shine at night.
  16. Always save money out of every check. It makes your job a lot more enjoyable after a while when you're not working paycheck to paycheck.
  17. Sounds like they just didn't really want the frog that day. Happens to me sometimes. I'll switch colors, then if that doesn't work, I'll try something else.
  18. All I know is that the bite has slowed way down for me in my pond. Carp are everywhere right now also.
  19. What is your favorite way to rig ribbits? Single hook or double? I picked some up at wally world the other day.
  20. Two...for now. NFC 709 HM and TFO 7'MH (best jig skipping rod ever)
  21. I've pulled fish out of lily pads all spring with 50# braid and a 16# fluoro leader. A couple were over six pounds. In my mind, if the fluoro didn't shatter when it's tied as a short leader to braid, it definitely wouldn't shatter if it was used by itself.
  22. The phat frog is easy to walk and doesn't fill up with water, but it is just too cheesy looking lol. I like spros better. I just seem to catch bigger fish on the spro.
  23. I almost always use a beaver for a trailer. I will use brush hogs sometimes too.
  24. Whichever one is getting bit. If I had a favorite it would be RI sweet beaver in gp.
  25. Mucks! Cheaper than Bogs and just as good.
