Balkanizing America? If anything we have attempted to become more unified over the years. The fact that we are in the south makes that hard to realize sometimes haha. It's not like that everywhere.

Moderators have been slow on locking threads lately. Not trying to bash them. I'm sure they are plenty busy. They started a thread recommending people to report threads rather then suggesting they be locked or posting IBTL etc. But who wants to be a tattle tail?

Sunline makes fluoro just for leaders. It's pretty good too, been using it for a while.

This may seem like a dumb question, but wouldn't the lights alert fish of your presence?

I'm a fan of braid with a fluoro leader. If you are fishing a lot of deep water, get some sinking braid.

Thanks everyone for the help so far. I guess the main thing I want to do is get a swept handle. I guess I would need a swept drag star too. Cork knobs wouldn't be too bad either haha.

Will exchanging the parts make it lighter?

I've never dressed up a reel before with custom parts. Are the tdz's custom parts also compatible with a fuego? Are most daiwa custom parts compatible?

If you're trying to punch through the pads, a 1/2 oz isn't even heavy enough a lot of times. 1 oz + punch rigs are what I would use.

Netbait cmac with a 4/0 hook and a 1/4-3/8 oz bullet weight. Just drag it along the bottom.

I make my own jigs, so I just tie the skirts then cut the outer half of the skirt level with the top of the jighead. I like 1/4-3/8 oz and usually throw them in pressured waters or when I think bass want something a little smaller.

You can't walk a frog worth a darn without braid. Braid also helps to drive the hooks home and horse fish out of cover.

Suffix 832 and Tuf line HeaviCore. Fx2 was touted as a sinking braid when it first came out, but it floats.
