  1. Does this work for supporting large electronic systems as well as the engine?
  2. not worried about the battery storage, have it stripped down now so i can enlarge hatches or whatever. I just need a good high powered `cranking battery to replace the one now! thanks though
  3. Hey guys, currently decided to purchase a new cranking battery to run my lowrance units and engine off of. I decided i want it to definitely be an AGM battery, and i know it needs to be high cca but i don't know which brands are good. Looking for stuff under $500. Thanks!
  4. yeah i understand that..thought turning on the fish finder was common knowledge and what not. that wasn't really my question haha. I meant a toggle switch that was separate from the accessory switch off the panel so the fish finders aren't wired into the harness but directly to the battery. All navigation systems in cars or boats have legal disclaimers to click through when they power up....
  5. Sam my lowrance units and sonic hub were a christmas present as well! will let you know how they work!
  6. thanks for the replies! Currently i found a place in Pittsburgh that is lowrance certified to install and wire the electronics in. Id like to purchase a new agm battery for the engine and electronics. Any brand suggestions? Preferably a battery that can handle a lot of electronics and still crank the engine also. Thanks!
  7. Thanks for the replies! I'm currently running the tm on a separate 24v circuit. I would like to purchase a new Cranking batter to run the electronics and engine off of. Any suggestions for a really good agm battery? Such as Drakon or others?
  8. hey guys thanks for the response. By toggle switch, i meant that i want to be able to control my lowrance units by flipping a switch on and off instead of them turning on as soon as i start up the boat!
  9. is it possible to run electronics such as fish finders off a battery such as a drakon(with direct power toggle switch) and then the engine to a cranking battery while having two separate batteries for a tm?
  10. Hey guys, just ordered a new has 9 and his 7. I want to run direct power to a toggle switch and need to know what battery i should get for them! thanks!
  11. Hey guys, I just recently decided to redo my bass tracker. I ordered two lowrance has touch 9 and the sonic hub system. The wiring in my boat is very confusing due to the previous owners inexperience and i need some advice! Currently there are three batteries(two for trolling motor and one for engine). I want to run direct power to my systems with a toggle switch. What kind of battery do i need and how, if i should, can i change how my batteries are set up now? Thanks, Matt.
  12. Hey guys, just joined the forum for some help! I'm currently redoing a bass tracker tx17. Everything has been going smooth and it is now completely gutted and the floors are being replace. The problem is, the previous owner left the wiring a mess! Two 12v batteries are used to power the trolling motor and a single cranking battery is used for the engine/bilge/aerator and now that i have it gutted, i want to change some wiring. First i want to add two lowrance hds units with direct power to a battery and add a stereo. What kind of batter/batteries do i need, and what should i run to them?? Thanks, Matt.
