  1. That explains why I aint been catching any. NO BEARD. Gotta get working on that.
  2. I know what you are saying about Blue Marsh Lake. I've fished there in the past and never caught any bass. I have talked to tourney anglers and the PA fish&boat commission members and the anglers always have trouble finding fish. Your right the fish&boat comm. doesn't do anything for bass lakes except change size limit (which does nothing cause most people don't keep bass).
  3. I was just down to Cabelas and didn't see the shake2's. Must have missed those. BTW, how is Kaercher Creek fishing these days? Haven't fished there in years. Use to be able to catch bass even in the dog days of summer there. I always fished to the left (if your facing the lake) of the fishing pier.
  4. I'm no expert but when the fishing slows, no matter what the reason, I always think of fishing slow with soft plastics. Senkos, plastic worms, jigs, any lure that you can crawl along the bottom. Hope this helps.
  5. .......WOW....... too much for me to take
  6. Reins ring craw/ax craw or maybe a reins rockvibe shad or even bubbling shaker. Ring craw comes in 3 in. Ax craw in 3.5 in. Both the rockvibe shade and bubbling shaker come in 3 in. Just a suggestion.
  7. KVD Dream shot on a drop shot rig. Doubled my catch rate for this time of year.
  8. I can't find a thing wrong with that order except its not mine.
  9. 1. Torpedo (check my profile pic) 2. Pop-R 3. Zoom Horny Toad 4. Jittery Bug (but only on nights with little moonlight) 5. Buzz bait 6. Zara Spook

I got some garlic scented soft plastics and every time I open the bag I get hungry for Italian food. A little parm cheese and some basil and its over for me. %)
  11. Looks like a smallmouth killer too me. I got a bunch of those in various colors in my lure boxes as well.
  12. I caught many river smallmouth with a mudbug. Something about the vibration that muddy river bass love. Even hooked into a musky with one, of course I never got that mudbug back.
  13. Forgot to mention the Fat Albert Grubs. I use them as trailers on my spinnerbaits. All in all, 9 items for alittle over 11 dollars with tax.
  14. Stopped by Walmart today. The last thing I expected to see was the Bait Monkey but there he was. Wearing a blue vest with a name tag the read "CHIP". He pointed me to a cart in the middle of the aisle marked "clearance". Inside the cart were assorted items for hunting and fishing. As I rooted around I found what the Bait Monkey was pointing at. Senkos plus a pack of 5/0 widegap hooks all for a dollar each. I was like a dog that hadn't eaten in a week. If someone would have tried to pull that cart away from me I would have bitten them. Sometimes the Bait Monkey knows what hes doing.
  15. I'll say it if no one else does.....for us older fishermen and women this seems like a worth-while product. As we get older certain things start to fail us. Maybe its the hairline, or the bum knee, or maybe its our eyes. In any case, this is like * for our eyes. :0
  16. I hope at least 2 of those were free but even if 3 were free I'd still need a loan to get them.
  17. White and gold, blue and black??? I see a unnecessary expense that could prohibit me from getting a new reel and rod. And what color are the shoes???? Do they match???? If not you gotta take them back. It never ends. Its one thing after another. And women complain about us!!!!
  18. Just got back from a visit to the tackle shop. Picked up a pack of Jackall 4" Cover Craws. I saw the "Facts of Fishing" show about this bait and wanted to try it. Also got 1 pack of 4" Superpin-Tails, a pack of 4.8" flickshake, and a pack of 4" dartshogs. Also got a pack of Berkley 3" power minnows and a pack of Keitech 4" Swing Impact in green pumpkin/Chartreuse. I'm loading up on drop shot and shake baits. Now if someone could just let me out of the walk-in freezer that the Northeastern part of this country has been in for the last month maybe I'll get to use these baits.
  19. Yup twice a year. I know ppl who only fish on those days. Sad huh?
  20. But you can try....and I want to be there when you do!!!
  21. Love the Bomber Long A. Practice with it to get it to run just the way you like it and its an amazing wake bait.
  22. We get them here on this part of the state too. Somewhere on this internet thing there is a picture of a state stocking tankard truck unloading trout out of a tube and a guy wading in the water right next to it with his line in the water. LOL
  23. Just got back from the Harrisburg outdoor show. They had more fishing stuff this year than last but not enough to keep me happy. Picked up some Zman finesse wormz. Since the shuttle bus was running from the same mall as the BPS I decided to drop in. Bought some Roboworms 41/2 in worms, KVD dream shots, and a pack of Berkley Powerbait drop shot minnows. If spring doesn't get here soon I'm gonna have to burn some coal in my front yard to advance global warming.
  24. New2BC4bass Kaercher Creek can be a tough lake to fish. I use to fish it abit when I was working down that way. I always had good luck with smaller baits like 4 inch Berkley power worms and tubes. I've read about the stupidity they are having in that area in regards to the lake. Its sad they are ruining the only good fishing spot in the area over a petty squabble. Hope the fishing gets better for you this year.
