  1. I always check out the new products from DUO because they are very high quality and i think they are a good fit between quality and cost. Lucky craft is right there also but megabass is a little rich for me. Any who i found this little lure and it is very intresting looking. Most likely will pick up two to try out and let you know how they work out. I think the ability to customize and change things up is very nice. http://duo-inc.co.jp/bass/en/realis-grade-a/shinmushi/
  2. I see a lot of things pointing to the tube jig and watched a lot of video's of guys using huge white tubes. Let us know if you figure it out as i would like to try as well!!!
  3. Depending on the type of hook is how your drag will need to be set. If your using a single hook like on the HUD then you will need it buttoned down to get that big jig hook set. If you are using hard baits like the BBZ then the trebles will allow you a lighter setting. If i remeber correctly even the trebels on the BBZ are quite stout.
  4. If the lip is broken then use weldon by ips. They have many formulas from water to thick. I used 16 a lot and 4 is very thin. It will be as good as new as long as its acrylic to acrylic mating. This is the same stuff they use to hold together million gallon aquariums. I have done this on many of the clear lips and they will be money. If its anything other than the clear bill section forget it.
  5. Local knowledge of the water would be the bigest factor. If you know the water and get to the spots you know you need to win then just fine. If you honey holes are far appart and well known then you would get smoked.
  6. when people talk about six inch swim baits they're always talking about the HUD which is very heavy. Not a bait that does well on a normal rod
  7. I just had a run in with a boater as I got hung up under his dock and he needed to park to grab another beer and I was in his way. Crazy for no reason.
  8. If your in the weeds the original 4 carrier works good.
  9. No. You can throw keitech and hollow body but no big baits.
  10. You want single colors like watermelon or pumpkin no flake. Keep the jig very plain and accent with trailer.
  11. Go to the most popular tab. these are the baits that really work and people repeatedly buy. The zoom trick worms and keiteck impacts are very popular. I vote against getting jigs from tw. Order from Serbert and get a good single base color skirt and change it up with the trailer. Then you only need to focus on head shape and weight.
  12. Use watermelon red or pumpkin purple. Downsize and use lighter than normal line. I use 6 lb sniper the most.
  13. I snell when using a straight shank hook with a weight otherwise I don't see the point
  14. if you're looking for a drop shot rod the Fenwick elite tech bass 610 medium light extra fast is a great stick
  15. they have what is called light wire hooks that will help you get better penetration easier. I've used heavy gauge hooks on 10 pound yozuri and never had an issue. it's more about presentation than anything
  16. I am still working on making the shift. Its a huge mindset change. I was in ct two years ago and now in wa.
  17. I switch size first
  18. I use and love the zoom super hawg or brush hawg. They do well for me
  19. I was referring to price. I would get the Croix for the price that compares.
  20. I don't see why you compare those two lines. The Loomis would better run against a legend elite. I have the elite 7mhf for jigs and love it.
  21. The zillion original is a great choice. Its what i use along with my steez. I also like my daiwa advantage 153htsl. Its a little tank and if your not a weight worrier, it will take great care of you.
  22. http://cannonpaddles.com/shop/wave-kayak-paddle/ I used the cannon wave paddle with the carbon shaft. I just recently lost it or it was stolen. I replaced it with another localy sourced paddle and dont like it near as much as my cannon. There a great paddle at a great price point.
  23. I use the navionics site and they have good maps but I don't know if the small lakes in the area are mapped on the chips. I would think the larger ones are.
  24. I am happy that they took the time to answer my email and that there not killing the bass
  25. This was the response I got today from the WA DNR Sorry for the delay in responding. Our staff has been communicating with our staff in other regions and agencies and has not found anyone or agency, including DNR that has been on Haven Lake. Our staff suspects the Dept of Ecology may have shocked a few fish for a study recently, but they haven’t been able to confirm that at this time. We hope this helps.
