  3. I want a dedicated casting rod for the 5” Senko. I have a Steez CT SV TW 70HL reel for the rod. I only plan on using this rod for Senkos, and thats it. Whats the ultimate rod for what I want? (Exact model please so I dont get the wrong one) Budget? $700. Thanks all
  4. I want to get a nrx+ casting rod, a utility rod, something I can throw chatterbaits, swimjigs, small soft plastic swimbaits, spinnerbaits, that stuff. With a rod as nice as a nrx+ I want to use it as much as possible. What would be the best choice ? I have a dedicated jig rod and dedicated worm, stickbait, finesse jig pitching rod. So Im looking for a badass go to rod. thanks all
  5. I think this is the rod I’m getting…
  6. I bought a Steez ct sv tw 70 about 6 months ago for a dedicated pitching rig and kinda found out its more a finesse reel so I sat on it. Now Im ready to add a finesse rig to my lineup using the Steez 70. Senkos, worms, finesse jigs n stuff. Budget $600 +/- . looking at stuff like nrx+, poison adrena, steez, phenix k2, ect. Can I get some advice and opinions? thanks all
  7. Thanks so much everybody
  8. Im looking to buy another rod and one of the rods Im looking at is the Shimano Poison Adrena. On Tacklewarehouse there are reviews saying they are not so durable and the tips have broken off. For those here who have these rods what are your opinions on it? other rods on my list are g loomis nrx+, daiwa steez and st croix legend elite x thanks all
  9. Thanks all, I appreciate everybody’s help!
  10. I sized it up against my Metanium mgl and the handles are the same size…
  11. P.S. If I bought the wrong reel for what I want to do let me know and I will sell it and get something else thanks all
  12. thanks all, the baits I want it for are stick baits and smaller texas rigged craws, not jigs, and I wont be throwing in to real heavy cover, mainly grass I do have a custom heavier jig rod paired with a bantam for jigs in the heavier stuff
  13. I just picked up a dedicated pitching reel, the Daiwa Steez ct sv tw 70. Im now looking for the sweet rod to pair it with for a dedicated pitching rig. Can I get some suggestions? thanks all
  14. The Loomis is at the top of my list, I just want to check with the vets to make sure, sometimes I get too anxious and make a choice I regret later
  15. I left one thing out, I want made in USA or Japan
  16. Im working a ton of overtime now and I want to get a high end lightweight dedicated pitching rod and reel. I want to get the Shimano Aldebaran 7.4 reel but I would like some input on the rod. I am a co angler and always fish off the back deck so I like shorter rods. I will use it for senkos, worms and texas rigs, and occasionally for small finesse jigs. I have been checking out the G Loomis NRX+ worm and jig rod and the Shimano Poison Adrena. What are your thoughts on these rods? Or what other rods should I look at? thanks all
  17. Is the US model still made in Japan?
  18. opinions are like buttholes , right?
  19. WOW, I just saw that the MGL still has primitive centrifugal brakes
  20. where I fish distance is not needed, I just like to spoil myself once in a while when I can, (Im turning 60 in a month) so Now maybe instead of replacing my Steez on my Megabass rod I might get a sweet reel for my pitching/jig rod. So Im sure the same reels will apply for that too. I do use my jig rod for smallish weedless swimbaits up to 2oz too. thanks all
