My Free Canoe Project!
so my father in law gave me a canoe a few months back. It's a 1987 michiccraft aluminum 14 foot. I've been working on making it my lake vessel since well it's free,a nd im on a budget lol. I've been able to clean and paint the inside, remove one of the three thwart bars, add foam padding, made DIY Rod holders, and built the frame for the back of my truck for hauling. I plan to add a trolling motor and mount and a humminbird piraña max. I just got the numbers put on it from the tax collector, and started cleaning the old decals off. It's a 39" beam in the center super stable canoe I can stand and paddle or fish no problem. Just wanted to show the younger guys or budget conscious guys a free canoe or boat and a lil work can be rewarding!

How Do You Store Your Tackle Thread
Here's my bank bag that's always loaded and ready. Compact comes in at 8 pounds loaded bag included. I'm just about ready for any type of water with what I carry. I'll get a pick of my storage cabinet later in the garage

How Do You Store Soft Plastics?
See I ran Into the sliding in the compartments and bunching up when I put the box in my back pack. That's why I'm playing with the freezer bag for the original bag set up im still not satisfied lol. A lot of my creature and beaver baits bunch up bad since I store the box in my pack vertically

How Do You Store Soft Plastics?
Well I bought a Plano box today and messed around with my baits some. I just couldn't get them how I wanted to be organized lol. That and the stink of gambler baits not in the sealed bags stunk my garage up instantly lol. So I'm gonna kiss ( keep it simple stupid) and put my bags in a freezer bag in my back pack lol

Bass Night Fishing?
Thanks so much everyone, I wouldn't dare fiah new territory alone at night in FL. We have enough deadly critters in the day time. I'll try the few lil ponds first and see how a night trip gos and fish some simple lures, like spinners, or roostertails and jigs. Maybe a frog

Bass Night Fishing?
Wow ok awesome guys! I have a small pond I fish alotin the day time that has good 1-1.5 pound fish and it's always accessible. I'll probably try there first. And I know a larger pond I can also. The parks all get locked up. I never thought of throwing spinners at night, but it makes sense!

Bass Night Fishing?
So I've night fished for inshore and Sharks. But never messed with bass at night. Id like to give it a try as the summers coming and it gets warm. But a lot of where I fish is nature preserve and park lakes that close at dusk. But I have a few I can try. Do you guys have a suggestion on lure choice, or tactics in general. Seems so weird to do a finesse type fishing in pitch black

Trolling Motor Suggestions For A Canoe?
It is a 14 foot michiccraft aluminum canoe. From what I can find ( it's and older canoe) it's in the 60-80 pound range.

Guys Please Be Careful In The Sun!
Wow man I was in the same fight or flight mode on my hands! I can't imagine a full body burn! Unreal, I can't stand sun burns and im pretty good at preventing them and usually a burn just tans quickly. Hopefully we are all a lil more careful now
-
Guys Please Be Careful In The Sun!
Man growing up in FL and being dark completed I've always been enough kinda lax on the sun protection. But I do hate burning. This is the worst it's ever been. Gloves are getting looked at locally then ***! Especially since the times I can fish is usually mid afternoon only a couple weekend days a month can i morning fish. I don't care how silly I look fishing the banks lol all covered up!
-
Guys Please Be Careful In The Sun!
Seriously cover up good man! Your a young man. I'm only 26 and the Florida sun is brutal im trying hard to stay covered up as much as possible and pay more attention to any meds a dr prescribes me

How Do You Store Soft Plastics?
Such a great idea I keep mine in the bottom of my back pack. If I grab one of them boxes I can just pull the box out fast and not dig through bags until I find what I want lol

Storing Keitech Swing Impact Fats In A Baggy.
I have some I bought in bulk from a local flea market tackle shop. I store them in a baggy since they where brought in bulk. I have not noticed a action issue. But I've also never owned any out of the package. Hope this helps
