  2. what if you don't like siebert jigs? then you have to use O-Rings or zip ties.
  3. I sometimes ask but only for certain ponds and only being thirteen is good because if I do get kicked off the people don't get too mad
  4. get some small O-Rings at the hardware store...just a little smaller than ones for senkos and that usually works for me

  8. i'm form Massachusetts but going to a friends on Flathead Lake in Montana this coming summer and have no clue about the lake other than Brandon Palaniuk throws swimbaits there and catches some nice fish. dose anybody have any information that they would like to share like spots and baits to throw. 10. I've had luck with the straight shank but the fluke can slide down more easily than if it is on an EWG.
  11. has anybody out there fished with a jika rig?
  12. welcome and i'm from mass too. Tewksbury pond is a must try and it is in north east Massachusetts. also try Webster lake for some monster smallies. you said you kyack fish...check out the Navionics app, it gives detailed lake maps of 99% of ponds around here. it will definitely help you catch more and if you don't want to spend $10 for it just go on google on a smart phone and go on Navionics web app. it isn't as good as the $10 version because you cant drop pins or see your location but it is still helpful. Good Luck!!!
  13. I live in the Merrimack valley and have a lot of decent ponds nearby. my favorite is Tewksbury pond. plug pond (lake saltenstall) is good too. both of them hold some BIG fish. the biggun's in plugs are hard to find most of the year but all spawn on the same point by the beach. you can just drift around and see 6,7,and 8 pound fish on beads. Tewksbury is amazing on the south side. you can just throw frogs and hammer um. Good Luck and Tight Lines
  14. bring the dead fish to a homeless shelter that way someone can benefit and the fish wont go to waist. BTW where is this pond anyway
  15. I don't mean to be harsh but I agree with Roadworrior, I am the last person who wants to kill bass but sometimes it is for the better.
  16. I found a place that was like this, it was literally every cast. you could pitch out 10 feet and get one in under 5 seconds. sounds fake but it is completely true
  17. some people love it but it was probably the invisx, I hate it. Red Label is so much better.
  18. i'm only 13 so I don't have a lot of money in the first place and I always seem so say I wont buy anything for a while and next thing I know I'm broke. the bait monkey really has control of me
  19. find your favorite pond if it still has soft water find rocks and throw jigs with a small profile, jerk baits, and drop shots. that works for me. Good Luck p.s. water will be cold so if you don't get a lot of hits don't get discouraged!!!

  21. A good spinning rod for around $150 would probably be a Abu Garcia vendetta and the Orra S with 10lb braid which is the same diameter as about 2lb mono so it casts a mile. after you get hooked on fishing which you will, you should get a baitcaster. they take a little practice to learn how to adjust your tension knob, centrifugal, thumbing the spool, ect. The key to baitcasters is go big or go home, it is easier to learn on a $100+ reel than a $50 reel because the quality of your bearings and breaking systems and they will last a lot longer if you take care of them.
