  1. I'm curious. I don't have a deep diving jerkbait. Anyone have any favorite colors? I liked the way the moss shiner looked or carbon
  2. The megabass trickster 80. Only one I own. And it's done well for me so far this season.
  3. This is why I'm thankful for a JDM distributor 15 minutes from my house
  4. Anything that won't cause a lovely backlash. Lipless cranks are usually my go to. That or spooks.
  5. What are the conditions that a plastic jerkbait would work wonders in?
  6. You are located where? I always want to try it but I doubt your near northern illinois lol
  7. I'm looking forward to using the flukes as well. They magically appeared in my bag after bass pro. Must have put them in and forgot after checking out. Showing things to my family and it's like well look. I bought flukes. Oh boy. I don't remember buying it
  8. In northern ponds I don't have too much of a problem with that. Rarely do I ever fish in muck or ponds like this, and if I do it's always soft plastics. I bought some flukes to try this year. The pond that worked today was a huge filled up quarry. Crystal clear water with rocky broken branches. Just my favorite setting.
  9. I'm going to say yes for the baitfish. There's not a particularly large amount of shad in most of my ponds ( I think ) either the fish are starving and they choked a dark blue silver black back bait, Or it imitated something thoroughly well that I'm not aware of. The bass I caught was hooked on the lower lip, but outside of it. Is that techiquely like a missed strike or just a short strike? One of the pike literally choked on it and I'm not sure if he made it. I had high hopes for him although.
  10. Interesting thread. I'm going to definately partake come the summer. Just those d**n mosquitos :!
  11. So, its beginning of spring in northern illinois, and a lure I had no clue on how to use, my megabass threadfin shad trickster 80, caught me my first fish of the season and two northern pike. Now its a 20 dollar lure, and now that I caught things on it I have confidence. Do jerkbaits work all throughout the season? Or are they predominantly a cold water thing?
  12. I caught one finally! Megabass trickster 80, threadfin shad. Also caught two 24 inch 2lb northern pike on the same bait today.
  13. [quote name="Mothercanucker" post="1739436" timestamp=" Next order. My goal was under 100$USD You know how anxiety riddled I was while eliminating colors and sizes from the 21 spinbaits I had in my cart originally down to 7?!?
  14. I have a og black and blue chatterbait. One of my best producers last year by zman. It was 5 dollars, no hook keeper, hook is okay. Honestly, There are so many variations of it now its too dumb to look. They are going to produce new ones every year to make people upgrade like iphones. I said screw that, went with something that was innovative, the molix lover. Yet to catch anything on it because of cold 40s water, but I'm having high hopes and from what the bait looks like I don't think I will be dissapointed. It was always fished in murky water. That was the key to it.
  15. One every now and then is all I do. Kind of like a way to brighten up my dad. Usually the paint jobs are the best, it has something other baits usually don't, and if it makes it to the wall of epic lures it's going to make that wall look awesome lol
  16. It does, but it doesn't have the ridges in the body style that my lure has.
  17. It's my best popper and one of my most cherished lures. I only have the one left. I googled your answer but when I got the lure it came with feathers. Thats the only thing didn't match the picture
  18. Literally no markings on it whatsoever of what company.
  19. Just ordered two spinbait 90s from tw, boss skirts in kinsdale craw, two packs of devil spears, jjs charteuese dip, blue shiner aruku shad, also ordered a norman little n in jelly bean. Got the norman and aruku instead of one duo lipless. Last big order of the season.
