  1. I built a car port in the side yard so the boat slips in just fine. No need to trim down or swing the tongue in. Had some mongo gates installed that will stand up to the worst wind. It's fenced in back and on one side so its nearly sunproof too. It's well lit and has lots of electricity options. I can sit in the boat in the worst weather and play with all my toys! Oh, I put a 2x12 on the side edge facing the street and had the ends sculpted so it looks like anybody's arbor when viewed from the street. It satisfied the CCR crew, or at least they didn't complain.
  2. Check out Bass Patrol football jigs. 1/4 and 3/8 best bang 4 your buck.
  3. Have you considered a dropshot? If presented properly it sits still, just like your jerkbait, only deeper.
  4. I have a few older Revos and on two or them (STX) the drag is a bit peculiar. I have to wind it down quite a bit to get to a "sweet spot" where each click seems to do something useful for say lighter line and ripbaits, but then if I want to really button it up the clicks make minimal difference. Then one more click and it's in lockdown mode. I am punctual in backing off all drags fully after each days use. Are the drag washers just plain worn out? I would be surprised cuz I really don't use these reels much in the past few, and frankly, the size of the fish I'm catching these days don't warrant much drag consideration, oh well.
  5. Mr. Clunn could go on for hours regarding this.
  6. Swimbaits or umbrella rig.
  7. I don't want to be a killjoy, but in my parts, 8-9k for > 150hp bass boat spells a well used game of jeopardy unless some one stowed it in the garage and stored Christmas decorations in it till the kids grew up. Gotta be low hours. Have you considered an aluminum tournament boat like an old G3? The fishability in many of these is outstanding. Deckspace is greater than many fiberglass boats, and with 150 or more, it's more than enough for tournament use with a fraction of gas cost.
  8. Vanish reminds me of the gen1 Vicious. I stay away from both.
  9. Just one more for using the 30 on a baitcaster. It's perfect for many apps. For me, ten to twenty on spinning reels.
  10. Yup. Especially if you are around spotties.

Man I have to check out this Seibert's place. Do they carry fishing attire for your favorite monkey?
  12. That's precisely what I'm getting at. I wasn't sure if anyone had done the heavy lifting already and was willing to teach. I know of lots of mods but particularly with glide baits, it seems differences in action can have bad consequences. Like not getting bit
  13. That didn't sound like an accident. Low lifes all around.

Owner hyper cross locks or Berkley cross locks
  15. Let the tinkering begin......
  16. In my biz it's called TMTC, "too many to count".......
  17. My home lake has both (actually all three) and right now it's all spotties and smallies so I can compare. To me it's a toss up.
  18. Congenital Niner fan here. there is so much ego permeating their front office now, I'm not sure I'll be able to watch whatever team takes the field in the fall. I think it is apparent what the players feel about these recent decisions.
  19. Seriously sounds like he needs both. When you mention the S------ word, haste is appropriate.
  20. Has anyone messed with weight on glide baits? Specifically, I'm wondering if I can get a S Waver down ten feet and keep it there.
  21. Interesting. How many wraps up and down?
  22. I buy a new red fishing cap every year. Gotta wear my bolo tie on tournament day. I ALWAYS say to my tournament partner upon arriving at our first spot, "skinny a-- adolescents need not apply, fat g---- only". Years ago someone (never found out who) snuck a banana in my boat. We won the tournament, so a banana comes with me. But I'm not superstitious.
  23. Might that be the ever annoying bait monkey?
  24. I have a Tatula, and Curado I, which took some monkeying around with to get working right. I'd go with the Tatula for light baits. As they say, $.02
  25. Do you have any Idea how to get a bass to return my S Waver from last week?
