  6. Ok cool. would love to hear other opinions as well I fish super clear lakes so I would use this line in clear water for my crankin stick and probably jigs. I will also have set ups with 50 and 20 pound braid with flouro leaders.

  13. So I have some older spinnerbaits and jigs that I "repainted" using nail polish. They look pretty good to me but there are no bait keepers on them for trailers. Any ideas on a simple way to add a bait keeper?
  14. That's my boat! Dang jim didn't realize you put so much work into that motor... -Kyle
  15. I have pop molds that I coated with Mod Podge. I have also heard of people spraying the mold with cooking spray right before pouring. http://www.amazon.com/Podge-CS11202-Original-16-Ounce-Finish/dp/B00178QQJ8/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1427130683&sr=8-1&keywords=mod+podge

  17. I tightened down the drag star as tight as i could and I am not seeing any plate to press down... maybe I am just not meant to clean this one haha
  18. I haven't had a chance to look at the browning reel again but the other 3 all had a nut and a cap over the nut on the handle.
  19. haha yeah probably not. I did successfully disassemble, lube and reassemble my other 3 reels (2 quantums and a pinnacle). Thanks for the advice. I will look into it.
  20. Hey guys, I am trying my hand at cleaning and lubricating my reels and I am having trouble with one in particular. It is an older browning midas, Model number MI1000HL. I can't get the handle off and I also can't get the spool out. I got the side plate off and the spool comes out a little but not all the way. There is also no nut or cover or anything on the handle loke other reels. here is a picture of the model I am working with. Any help would be appreciated, Thanks!
  21. This is exactly the kind of thing I was looking for! Thanks, I will definitely give it a try.
  22. Hey guys, I am just starting to get into pouring my own soft plastics. I have made a few plaster molds of baits I designed out of clay and a few pounds of old baits I am going to melt down. Some of the old plastics have a bad smell to them... not the "good" bad smell that fish like either. My first question is: Is there a good way to get rid of that bad smell so that is is more of a neutral scent? and my second is: What could I use to make an effective homemade scent for the baits I pour? Thanks!
  23. This is what I think of as upstate haha. I am from Chemung and go to school in Broome. http://s57.photobucket.com/user/orioles1/media/new-york-county-map.png.html
